As I write this, it’s four years to the day (indeed, the HOUR) since I watched the final episode of “Firefly” on Fox. Today, the crew at www.stillflying.net, brings you our newest virtual episode, entitled “The Breathing” (the thirteenth episode of our second season), written by D.C. Washington.

When D.C. and I discussed that this episode would be airing today, he reminded me that this was also the one year anniversary of the release of the “Serenity” DVD (which is when D.C. first saw it). A few months later, D.C. “auditioned” for Virtual Firefly with a spec script that evolved into tonight’s episode, so, in a certain sense, this episode has been a year in the making!

Anyway, enough with the history lesson... Head over to www.stillflying.net to read our new episode, “The Breathing.”

If you haven’t read our other material, we’ve got 19 other episodes just clamberin’ to be read, which might be just the thing to help if, like me, you’re a little down about the fact that it’s been four years since a new episode of “Firefly” last graced the airwaves.

Hope you enjoy the episode! Next week, we’ll be back with another one (“Confluence”), and we’re also going to have new content (either episodes or special features) for at least the next three weeks.

Keep flying!

George

I just went and read the new episode. Top-notch writing as always, Gwek. The best fanfic in the 'Verse, and no mistake.

Keep 'em coming,

Excellent. Glad you enjoyed! I know DC is pretty proud of this one (rightfully so, I say!).

Well, DC might be too tired to be proud, but I'm sure proud of this one. The first time I read it, it really did hit me, and I knew everything that was going to happen! Seriously folks, this one is a keeper. Check it out!

...or, better yet, start from the beginning and work up to it!

Wow. What a thrillride! It took me the first act to get into the story, but at the climax my heart was beating very hard. This definately had me hooked!

I loved the way you wrote the characters in the episode -- especially Jayne's diologue. River and Mal were also written very well.

The scenes with Mal, Book, and River near/inside the storage locker really touched me, as they were written to beautifully!

It is interesting to know that we now know for sure Blue Sun in directly involved with the psychic program. I wonder what it will be like having two crazy girls on the ship now...

I SO love this site! You all have been true to Firefly in your writing, and I enjoy all the episodes. In fact, I found the code to link my banner to the site on your forum. I use it all the time--along with your banners, on an rp site I'm on. Keep the signal going!

Latest ep was a thrill ride. No other fanfic does as good a job in putting me on my sofa in front of my tv and watching another episode of Firefly - great stuff!

Can I ask you how you got your signature to show up, Kelai? I tried to put one at the end of this post and couldn't get it to show up.

All you have to do is go to the main FFF.net page -> Go to "My Firefly" on the top by where thelinks to the BSR, Community are and then go to 'edit profile'.

There all you have to do is post the image URL. You don't need IMG or HTML tags. If you want to center you can use the HTML center tags. And if you want put a divider like

---

Because it doesn't automatically make a barrier between your post and your sig.

Sorry, Kelai, I must be doing something wrong, since I tried to post a signature the way you said and I still can't get it to show up. And it was actually one of the VFF banners... Oh well. If it shows up when I post this, I'll be surprised.

Alright, the site changed, so how do you put an image in the signature again? If this works, I'll be surprised.
