Thanks MSG. I'm going to try and get stuff changed around so I can go, I'm just not betting on it.

Heya Rugbug.

They've decided to let us close up early, so I'm on my way out. I'll try to find time to be on next week. Take care everybody and no matter what type of new year you want be sure to have a safe one.

I think nighttime is dark so you can imagine your fears with less distraction.

Wow, that's a library?

*duly impressed!*

Makes my local library look like a cardboard box.

Rugbug, good as always to see you. Sorry about the bruised bum.
You are lucky you didn't break your tail bone.

To everyone - Have a safe and Happy New Year's. I'll see everyone in 2007,
as I rarely get to post over the weekends.

You were busy trying to get yourself lit on fire. It happens.

It means they suck (I kid, I kid - sort of).

They could be: completely clueless/very forgetful; busy; unsure how to go about it; wanting the other person to initiate it (I'd almost call that self-involved); or, just an idiot.

Felt like I actually had some experience in that, so I answered (despite the fact that I am so woefully behind - beginning of June (?) - that I probably won't catch up for a while).

Oh well. ::shrugs:: I'll be lurking!

Oh no, no. I would've had to do some major contortions to get my tailbone. The bruise is contained to the left cheek () as that is what I landed on. It's pretty uncommon to fall directly onto your tailbone. This was a pretty average fall, with pretty average results...the ground was harder than average though (fell on a hard packed dirt road...horse was running away from the terrifying donkeys that were running straight at him).

MSG: Wowzers, that is some library. I wanna go spend some time in the children's section. Heeee

NV- I agree with Kelkhil ...run away and do not look back:)

Yes Mav that's a library it's really fantastic. 5 stories , rooftop garden, etc. Mind you my actual favorite branch is the Sprague. it's a converted Victorian house and it's so cozy and nice

hi MSG, NVG, RugBug, and YinYang.

I just wanted to echo what others are saying, as I too will not have internet until Monday or Tuesday: Have a safe and Happy New Year, whether you celebrate with a book and a glass of wine or copious amounts of alcohol and loud music or whatever else you may feel like doing. Anyone who has to work, well, that sucks, and the people making you work can gun HOE-tze bee DIO-se.

I was just gonna shake the trees for ya RugBug. Hope your bum mends well.

I second what he said. I'm not gonna be able to communicate 'til at least Tuesday. Think I'll end up DD for the weekend, but I might tell everyone to piss of or drive me around 'cause dammit, I deserve it. As for the women, I think I ask for it. But you'd think at least one would eventually feel guilty for taking advantage.
You would think.

So, She Who Shall Not Be Named may be calling a bit less as her sons grandma no longer works here. I got to listen in while posting pics this morning on some news that honestly, I don't care about. She moved to a house, still tryin' to dump her son to have fun, and generally don't know her ass from a hole in her head.
Funny. I didn't miss a beat this morning while posting. Sure hope that means something.

Back on the woman front, I am truthfully considering looking outside for a mate. I must be F'ing crazy to think there is someone in this gorram valley that can be what I'm looking for. But where do I find a semi athletic young woman that likes guns. beer, and barbrque, can sing or write or dance, likes to work, and loves or is open to Firefly?

WHERE?!?!?!?!

Y'all are just too cool fer your shoes.

I'm gone for the weekend. Guess its up to me to find an acceptable mate, but lookin' at my track record it may be just a matter of time before I'm just someones bitch. Oh well. As for the DD, if I get too drunk to drive then I don't need to be out. I get WILD! And not a good wild either.

Have a great weekend everyone. I'm gonna get a little ballsy and take some drunken pictures, maybe.

Love and good luck in the new year to all.

Goodnight.

ADD: I missed K's post. Hook me up. I ain't scared. I'm sure anyone who frequents here can be more help to me than alot of the people I know IRL.

Okay. Now I'm gone.

Penguin, I didn't know either. I found it on YouTube. I'm not sure if it's the name of the Russian group or the song. Since Tristan is big on naming the threads after songs, I'm assuming it's the name of the song.

NVG, the words might relate to how you're feeling.

My house is built,
But I'm here in it alone.
The door slams shut behind me
The wind of autumn is knocking on the window,
It's crying again, over me.

This is fate,
and fate cannot be questioned (or - I cannot request anything of fate.)
The one thing I know,
is that after me (or after I leave)
The wind will start to sing (or vocalize)

-Operatic vocals-

My house is built,
But I'm here in it alone.
The door slams shut behind me
The wind of autumn is knocking on the window,
It's crying again, over me.

A storm during the night,
And fog in the dawn
The sun has gotten cold.
My past hurt is returning,
Let it all gather.

-Operatic Vocals-

Hmmmmm... I don't recall being guilty of this conduct, but I can't say it's a completely foreign notion.

Were it me, I'd say my reasons were this:

I get along better with guys. I have more guy friends than chick friends. Once a non-friend girl is introduced into the mix, I note a tendency for the guys to ignore the friends (both male and female) in pursuit of the non-friend girl (henceforth known as NFG). That's something that happens on both sides of the gender coin, true enough. But chicks, I think, are better at throwing the "no interference" flag at the other NFG in attempt to preserve their friendships. Guys, not so much. Once the NFG is established as just a chick friend, I imagine the flirting and territory-marking would stop.

(Does that make sense at all? I got about 4 hours' sleep...)

Hmmmmmmmm... it made sense to me actually Hell's Kitten... but that might not be that comforting either - I think that when I am single (as I have been a lot in recent years) I enjoy the company of my male friends to get me through the longing for male company... but when they are involved with someone you can't have quite the same 'close relationship' with them... though I have actually made some wonderful girlfriends by remaining close to malefriends when they started dating them - in one or two cases I am still close to the now-ex-girlfriend and not with the malefriend!!

Savion Glover did the dancing for Mumbles. I absolutely love Savion Glover. Sometimes he taps so fast that you can't even see his feet move. I love watching him.

*A little extra information*
On my back story, I chose Savion for my father's 1st name.

In case you haven't seen him, here he is on YouTube:
