I loved the clip Tristan. I was really territorial with my stress bubbles at work. I'm thinkin' the paintball really jarred something loose. I've taken complaints, criticizm, accusations, and been in the middle of everyone elses drama but still haven't felt overly anxious of irritated. I love it. But my shopping carts are up to 800 bucks.
Its cool though. I figure the four grand I helped everyone out with last year will get me into plenty of gear for ballin', get me to D*C, and ammo for range time.
Everyones gonna have to piss off and do for themselves this year. Sounds kinda mean but its the truth.

Hey all! I seem to miss the most social times on here...
My job doesn't necessitate stress balls. I hawk overly priced accessories to rich girls (at Monsoon/Acessorise!). Ayyyund I get £30 a week from the government. Just for going to school! Ahhh, its a good life sapping from the state

It doesn't sound mean NV. It sounds like you're finally doing for yourself and not others and you've needed that for a long time darlin'

Tristan- I love that movie ever so much

Asorta- Harry Potter is an epic masterpiece there is no age limit:)

Oh I thought y'all would get a laugh out of this. MisterG sent it to me at work:)

At last a guy has taken the time to write this all down

Finally, the guy's side of the story.
(I must admit, it's pretty good.)

We always hear "The Rules" from the female side.

Now here are the rules from the male side.
These are our rules!
Please note these are all numbered "1" ON PURPOSE!

1. Men are NOT mind readers.

1. Learn to work the toilet seat. You're a big girl.
If it's up, put it down. We need it up, you need it down.
You don't hear us complaining about you leaving it down.

1. Sunday sports. It's like the full moon or the changing of the
tides.
Let it be.

1. Shopping is NOT a sport.
And no, we are never going to think of it that way

1. Crying is blackmail.

1. Ask for what you want. Let us be clear on this one:
Subtle hints do not work!
Strong hints do not work!
Obvious hints do not work!
Just say it!

1. Yes and No are perfectly accectable answers to almost every
question.

1. Come to us with a problem only if you want help solving it.
That's what we do.
Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for.

1. A headache that lasts fro 17 months is a problem. See a doctor.

1. Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an argument.
In fact, all comments become null and void after 7 days.

1. If you won't dress like the Victoria's Secret girls,
don't expect us to act like soap opera guys.

1. If you think you're fat, you probably are. Don't ask us.

1. If something we said can be interpreted two ways and one of the
ways makes you sad or angry,
we meant it the other way.

1. You can either ask us to do something or tell us how you want it
done. Not both.
If you already know best how to do it, just do it yourself.

1. Whenever possible, Please say whatever you have to say during
commercials.

1. Christopher Columbus did NOT need directions and neither do we.

1. ALL men see in only 16 colors, like Windows default settings.
Peach, for example is a fruit, not a color. Pumpkin is also a
fruit.
We have no idea what mauve is.

1. If it itches, it will be scratched. We do that.

1. If we ask what is wrong and you say "nothing",
we will act like nothing's wrong.
We know you are lying, but it is just not worth the hassle.

1. If you ask a question you don't want an answer to,
expect an answer you don't want to hear.

1. When we have to go somewhere,
absolutely anything you wear is fine. Really.

1. Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are prepared to
discuss such topics as SEX, CARS, the shotgun formation or
basketball.

1. You have enough clothes.

1. You have too many shoes.

1. I am in shape. Round is a shape!

1. Thank you for reading this. Yes, I know,
I have to sleep on the couch tonight:

but did you know men really don't mind that? It's like camping.

I have to refer back to number about the Sunday sports. I was really surprized to over hear a small conversation early Sunday morning between the ballers. Something along the lines of:
Guy one:"Are there any games on today?"
My thought:(Its Sunday, of course there are)
Guy two: "Yeah."
Guy one: "Any important ones?"
Guy two: (Assembling his weapon) "No."
Guy one: "Cool."

Also, I've ben working with GND and my sisters. That whole not asking directly crap rarely happens and it feels soooo gooood.

Although, sometimes I put the old mindreading skills to work. Can't have them getting rusty. Theres a couple billion other women that still need to test psychic ability.

(Copies list and sends to women in address book)
Thank MRG for me please MSG.

There is an age limit for jumping into puddles?

Who came up with that one?

Next you will think there is an age limit to watching Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck.

Lets get real.

So we've finally started to ponder things I can reply to, and where did I go? To work during my vacation. Thanks, guys.

Quote:

What moments render an actor incapable of being believable in other roles for you?

I'm going to answer this differently than everyone else, because aside from Paul Bettany = Geoffrey Chaucer (the naked writer guy from "A Knight's Tale"), there are no actors that I automatically associate with their previous characters. I can see similarities between characters, but I'm not really fixated on a particular role.

Having said that, Nicholas Cage basically destroyed any chances of me ever watching a movie with him in it again when I saw the previews for "World Trade Center." I don't hate him (too much emotional energy to exert on anyone, much less an actor I've never met), but... ugh. He's not that great an actor anyway, though, so the loss isn't too bad.

Quote:

How old is too old for kid stuff? ( like how old before you have to stop playing with bubbles or jumping in puddles)

As long as a person has achieved emotional and social maturity, they're never too old to let their inner child run free! Granted, there are certain places where this behavior is ill-advised; but, being the mature adult that said person is, they will know when the time comes, and will act accordingly.

It's all about moderation and balance... or something.

Actors Roles: First of all, there is no other Hannibal Lector than Anthony Hopkins. He had me at "Fava beans".
Secondly, whenever I see Ben Browder on SG-1, I keep expecting him to pull out Wynona and blast some fools while screaming "Frell them all! All your wormholes are belong to us!"
And finally, any time I catch anything with Allyson Hannigan in it, I'm instantly transported back to early Buffy. I don't think she's ever going to crack that mold, in my mind. Who wouldn't want the sweet, geeky redhead (Demons and the undead notwithstanding)?

I feel like doing something random...

There. Randomness urge eliminated. Hope you all ducked.

Argh, the list be full of stereotypes. What ever happened to the sensitive man? Bah, there's an imponderable, what ever happened to the sensitive man in popular culture and the eyes of hollywood?

Anyhoo, i feel pretty darn good, i spent the day shopping (willingly but alone, take that stereotypes) and wrapping presents. Yeah sure christmas is passed, but come on, dont people need some cheer right after vacation ends? Besides, people over the years have given me stuff, may as well give a little back.

Sure I don't know all my darned shakespeare lines, but I'll muddle through. That's what we do, we muddle through.

MSG - That is an outstanding list. The man who made it should be awarded a medal.

Just stopping in and saying hi. Sorry I haven't been around for a while, been very busy getting ready for deployment in 5 days. I hope everyone's been well.

I managed to see through a personal achievement that I've been talking about for some 5 or 6 years now, and while I feel pathetically human for having to be motivated by a deployment to do it, I am proud of it none the less. It brings to mind the question:

What long standing task or accomplishment have you been wanting to see through that you haven't taken the time for?

We all tend to get sidetracked in life and let the monotony of day-to-day tasks get in the way of personal goals. I know I've asked a similar question before in relation to people's vocations, but I'm wondering more about singular, well defined ambitions, climbing Mt. Everest, visiting the Eifle Tower, except maybe a little less cliche'.

I'll make sure and be around for everyone's answers

Sorry CMH - nothing springs to mind... but then again we are supposed to ponder, not give up whatever springs to mind so... I will take that with me to ponder... hmmmmmmm...

Oh - and for years and years Stockard Channing was nobody but Rizzo... even the first couple of seasons of 'The West Wing' were tough for me coz every time the president was in a scene with his wife, I kept getting "Look at me, I'm Sandra Dee" or "There are worse things I could do..." in my head! <--got it again that time Johnny!

Oh... forgot to mention too, that I still jump puddles, balance on low fences, blow bubbles, read kids books, watch animated films & DVDs and only visited my first Theme Park at the age of 33!! There's no law aginst being young at heart!! I also built my first snowman at the age of 32 and one of my 'things to do' is to make a snow angel <-- yes - I did raid your photobucket, Penguin!!

Morning, ponderers!

Qing ren!

Morning, Whitefall! Sensitive men...yes, there are a dearth of them in this world.

CMH! I have missed seeing you here! Glad to hear about deployment, but we'll miss you.
I am going to have to think on that question a bit...it's a good one. Because of my divorce, I have been able to do a great many things I have ben putting off, so I am not sure there is anything "serious" left.

Hell's Kitten...sweet, young, and innocent? Hmm. I do have to admit that the thought of a dead Bugs never made me happy, either.

RIMG! Welcome back!

Morning, JQ!

I know that there are probably posts that have been made while I was typing this, so good morning to those I have missed.

Yesterday I put out a request through one of those "Get 10 or more quotes to transport a car" sites to find out how much it will cost me to get my Honda Element from Florida up to Maryland on a New Car Carrier. I received over 25 (!) quotes. Most are in the $550-$600 range. I figure it will be easier to pay to get it transported than fly to Miami one way, spend 20+ hours driving back, and wear and tear on the truck, plus the gas.

Wow - that's a point if you're purchasing your motor vehicle from interstate that is... That car cost me about AU$600... my registration for my current car is a little over AU$600 this year... <--no I'm not going to mention it, Johnny!

"Did he just go crazy and fall asleep?"

Hello my very lovely 3mlogo_35pt_74x48.gif ‘s. Rarely am I online with all of you at once although I must admit I do know whether simply to bask in your presence, forgetting all else; or watch my back lest some manner of MacBethian fate befall me. Meh. I love you all too much to do anything but bask.

Magda, I am so glad you are now able to crap correctly. I expect a certain regularity in your posts…

MsG, I hope you are breathless, blushing and all sorts of perspiry from all your baby-making endeavors. No fair hiding behind some “marathon” for your disheveled appearance…

Mavs, you look Mavaulous!

Heh, heh, heh…

How about we check on your car carrier…

Hey everybody. Not staying, really busy today. Just wanted to pop say "hey" and make sure nobody forgot I existed. Try to be on more later. Take care.

I think nighttime is dark so you can imagine your fears with less distraction.

"No power in the 'verse can stop me!"

Hello My gorgeous Little Albatross - I am still awake!!

I have had back pain this week and my sleeping patterns are all out of whack - I have been catching a couple of hours here and a couple there so when I had a real sleep yesterday afternoon/evening I resolved to stay up until tomorrow night so that I can get back into a reasonable pattern...

And as soon as I get to play with my 'ponderers I have all these issues with FFF.net - is it just me? <--see!!

Anyway - I am still here!!

Oh poor little sisters little sister - that just sin't right my gorgeous MsG - I do hope her husband at least booked her into a day spa or something after that ordeal she sounds like such a trouper...

Now, lets hope this one posts...

Edit: Yay - it worked!! And hello JohnnyQ!!

Oh.. and Qing ren... I couldn't forget you!

I think she finally crashed out. Sleep is good.

Watched Snakes On A Plane last night. Really dumb movie, but I've got a new Sam JAckson line to spout when drinking.

"I'm sick and tired of the M F'n snakes on this M F'n plane!"

I sing and spout Samuel L Jackson lines better when my vocal cords are more relaxed.

"What ain't no country I ever heard of. Do they speak English in what?"

Who here sings loudly when drinking? I'm incredibly guilty of betling Johnny Cash tunes when drinking.

ADD: I've been tryin' to get back for the last hour to no avail. I' gotta go pay some bills. Catch y'all later.

I sing loudly all the time. Drunk or sober. Sing along with any tune I know, and make an attempt with those I don't. Half the time I don't even notice I'm doing it. Drives Geekmafia nuts. Who says you can't sing along to Tom Waits??? That's not a rule!!!
