What I'd miss? I feel so out of touch.

Underwear? Yes and no. Yes, because I do wear them. No, because they barely qualify was underwear.

Silly wabbit. You know better than to ask something like that here...

And hi jlin13! Nathan is a very good looking man. I have a gagillion pix that rotate as my wallpaper at work which freeze when I am away from my desk. One of them is a Mike Phillips drawing of Nathan from Trash, with him all nekkid and hands clasped over his head. The workmen fixing our cube walls got quite a kick out of when that was the pic that froze for their viewing pleasure for God knows how long. The gave me a funny look which I don't quite understand.

Underwear: Boxers. Tighty-whities are just too damn uncomfortable. And I can proudly say I've never been forced to go commando; if you find yourself in a situation where you're without underwear, you're probably drunk. Or being chased out of your mistress' house by an angry, jilted husband who is waving a shotgun. Or suchlike, I suppose.

Nathan Attraction: He's a damn pretty man. Bein' attracted to him don't mean you're sly, just that you have working eyes

Anyway, just got back from the docs, and it turns out I need even more antidepressants. Which is disconcerting, as well as costly, considering every cent of them comes out of my quickly dwindling pockets. If nothing else, though, it really makes me empathize with what Whimsy had to go through.

And now an open imponderable: How many of you out there have been on psychoactive medication? I know there's a few of you around, but I feel it'd be a good thing to just get a feel for how many people have similar problems with their brain chemistry.
...Still can't believe I have 'early psychosis'...

It's now late, there's interesting things on Discovery Channel (Shotgun golf-club. What could go wrong?), so I bid you a temporary adieu.

HK, about underwear - depends on when and where - at home, no (did you really want to know that?

Penguin, you knew there would come a time when you could use that cute pic of you in your underwear.

JLin13, nice to see you on the Impoderables. Nathan is one shiny fellow. No, it's not unusual for guys to find him attractive. I'm a female that finds Morena very attractive. Admiring beauty doesn't make you sly.

James, I haven't ever taken any of the doctor recommended psychoactive drugs. I do know lots of folks who do.

VerseExplorer! and I may have seen Rugbug somewhere up there! Woo!

I for one do indeed wear underwear, and on the previous subject, I simply sit on the toilet. It's simpler, less messy, and none of this up-or-down business to worry about.

Anyhoo, we finished blocking Comedy o' Errors, and as I spent all weekend learning my lines, i discovered today i'm one of the few people off book. Darn people. But at least I get to point at people, and then point at other people, and every stares at who i point to, then when I swear by the lord i get to point at him, and everyone stares. Brilliant stuff.

I'm off to do some biology and some calculus. what fun! (except not really)

*waves* Here. Me. I'm of that group.

I was lucky though. I had clinical depression, but it wasn't horribly serious - or no more horribly serious than depression ever is anyway. It went undiagnosed for *ages* but when I finally went to the doc he figured out what was wrong with me pretty quickly. I was put on meds and responded well - so well I was able to give them up after about three months. I've had it once more since, but again I responded well to treatment and there've been no side effects. Very lucky, in the grand scheme of things.

If you're in ANY way unhappy with your diagnosis then I say get a second opinion. Your doc isn't going to be offended or anything. Are you getting counselling or psychiatric treatment? It's important to do that too, and there should be free counselling services available somewhere in your local area. Unfortunately, this stuff tends to be funky brain chemicals rather than issues, so medication is an important part of getting better. But it's definately no harm to make sure that's really what's going on with you.

I have been "diagnosed" with both depression and bipolar disorder, though none of the meds I have been put on have done much good in my eyes. Overall (somewhat shameless plug/rant beginning) my preferred natural recreation tends to balance me out better than anything at all (you can keep all of your chemicals, just let me have something that grows naturally on the earth [ / rant ]).

Knickers? Antidepressants?

May you live in interesting days...

Knickers? Yes. Don't care for going commando.

Antidepressants? Yes, once. I was given Zoloft for about 6 months after my Mom died 14 years ago. Helped a lot.

(Maybe I need something for my caffeine addiction.)

Side note, Tidbit woke up with a mild fever. I gave him meds and I think he's ok, but I wouldn't be surprised to get a call from his school.

Hi Rugbug, YinYang, jlin13, Penguin (why do I always--always--spell "Penguin" Penquin?), JtD, Navyseils, VX, Whitefall and now Mavs *waves*.

HK, DTH and RIMG. And MsG, too, because this is an old if very near and dear subject. WHY can't we stop thinking about our underwear?

Too late, Ninja Kitty! You've started a topic and now it's out of control!

Yep, I wear underwear. With boobs like mine you kinda have to. Otherwise there are jiggle issues.

Sure, sure. Bra I can understand. But knickers? Bah. Who needs 'em.

HK, about underwear - depends on when and where - at home, no (did you really want to know that?)

I could stand to hear a little more.

I am currently taking Effexor XR (I like the "XR" part 'cause it makes it sound all science fictiony.) Having spent a good number of years self medicating with all manner of non-percription, slightly less than legal, occasionally "herbal" drugs, I can say with confidence that my brain chemistry can't help but be off a tad. I'm pretty sure I've always been off but my drug consumption hasn't helped.

So I really didn't want to start down such a path again. But Here I Am. Are they helping? Yes, but. The lows aren't so low anymore, but I not "improving" my situation any. In other words, I still exhibit most of the accompanying symptoms but I don't feel so bad about it. Am I currently being counseled? No. I was before I started the meds, and I will be again. It's just not in the cards at the moment.

Maybe I should get a tattoo of medicated underwear...

"Well, here I am...Does that seem right to you?"

'cause the Roman Gods up to that point were crap. Jeff, the god of biscuits, and Simon, the god of hair-dos.

When I was just a lad my dear old mom, rest her soul, told me to always wear appropriate undergarments just in case I was in an auto accident and had to have my pants removed. As the years passed I had occasion to remove my pants many, many times in a car, but was never in an accident. Thanks Mom.

TRISTAN

Morning, Imponderables!
Running a bit late today...got swamped right when I walked through the door...even my coffee had to wait!

Where did I leave off...
Ah, the semi-serious ponder from Hell's Kitten regarding underwear...
I wear it when I am in public. The only time I don't is if I am wearing a kilt.

MSG, glad to hear it was just a check up.

Hey, RugBug! Good to see you around these here parts!
Barely qualify, eh? Hehe

YinYang, six hours of math is six hours too many!

Greetings, JLIN13! Glad you decided to drop by. Welcome to the Imponderable thread. Looks like it has been explained pretty well. Hope you decide to stick around!
Don't worry. I, too, am a straight male with an attraction to Nathan. He is just so...very...pretty.

JTD, sorry to hear about the Dr. I guess we aren't doing a good enough job of lifting your spirits! We will try harder, I promise!

Navy...the theft of underwear from a gym locker is not something I want to think about, either...

Morning, VE!

Whitefall, off book already, eh? Good deal! One of the best actors at my University had an annoying habit of not being off book until opening night...freaked me out the first few times, but he was phenomenal for all the troubles.

DTH, most topics go out of control in here, don't they?
Jiggle issues...hmm...curse this over-actve imagination!

RIMG, morning! Yeah, he is a good-looking man...I agree; if I was sly, he be on the top of my list.

Mav, morning! I am, of course, going to have to steal that icon...that is just way too shiny!
Oh, Marine husband, that was a chaste kiss...an appreciation of the things your lovely wife brings to the thread! *does not want to get stomped*
On second thought, after having seen the threat to JQ, I reiterate that caveat to you, too, Mav.
I do hope tidbit gets over the ick!

Morning, JQ! That was kind of a short post for you...feeling alright?

Morning, Dayve! Ah, the "always wear clean underwear" thing....yep, I got that one, too. As for removing it in the car...yeah, been there, too!

That should have me caught up for about five minutes. For those that I miss, good morning!

Off to find more coffee...

Heh...um, I have to say that it can be a bit embarrassing in hindsight...to have had your pants removed in the ER to only have a triangle and some strings on, but really, you're more than likely so out of it at the time that you won't really care. At least that's my experience.

(I was more worried about them trying to cut off my $200 show breeches...which, if you don't wear itty bitty undies with will let the world know...than what underwear I had on. Phfft to those nurses...I broke my arm, not my leg.)
