Universal HD Channel reschedules Firefly to...

With the new year comes a change of schedule for the high-definition Firefly replays on Universal HD. The new time slot is... (gulp) ...Friday at 8:00 PM (ET).

Why am I having flashbacks to 2002?

Well, at least they're showing them in the proper order.

Incidentally, the Firefly page on www.universalhd.com has not been updated to reflect the new schedule. It still says they're showing on Sunday at 7:00 and 11:00 PM, which is no longer true. The web site seems to be poorly maintained -- they didn't even include a Firefly page or schedule information until several weeks after the first showing of the HD conversions back in September. On the plus side, the Firefly page has a comments area that's loaded with shiny Browncoat goodness.

Seems to be happening for the July airings, too.

Their main page says: "AIRS JULY 28", so I've been telling everybody I know to mark their calendars and set their TiVos.

But a double-check of the schedule shows...

9:00 PM & 12:00 AM (ET)

Saturday, Jul 21

5:30 & 10:00 PM (PT) | FIREFLY | SERENITY - PT 1

What's up with that?
