Go to do some smashing (both literal and virtual) and I come back and missed firsties! Ah well. My energy is still not burned up! This is good, right? Lots of energy is good... right?
Frustration is bad, though

Everyone should know the joy of chocolate-covered Altoids!

Like a 40lb Everlast? That's what I was just beating on. Anything heavier and I might injure myself, especially with how hard I kick it (picture a heavy black bag swinging from one end of the workout room to another, not touching the walls only because the chain isn't long enough. I can, in fact, give you a nice example)

It's fun, but it doesn't always get it all out. My joints tend to start feeling it before my muscles are really worked. Hopefully the cleanse will help with that (it seemed to be better this morning, but the other side of it is that I have so much extra energy that... Well, it would take a lot to get it all out )

What a shiny thread title

To answer MsG's question from last thread this weekend I will continue packing and moving. Not far just a mile or so actually. I'm just tired of noisey amatuer musician guy who will not shut up no matter what (please? no. office says shut up. no. police say shut up. slightly quieter) *(&#$@ Plus I wanted satellite tv back and my current place made me take it down. Tried to get it hooked up yesterday and the guy was all complainy. I don't think I can get the right angle. Dude look down see the dish on the patio right below mine with directv plastered across it? "well they probably get different channels". Can I get those channels then? "Wellllll you don't have both your tvs here yet and if I hook up two recievers without two tvs I'll get in trouble". From who? I'm the customer. I'm pretty sure I'm always rights. Tell them to call me and I'll tell them not to yell at you. "How about I reschedule for next week?". Fine. *mumble* *grumble*

So yeah moving and watching the super bowl. Go Bears (yes I know they're going to lose).

Zeek well I'm glad you're moving to a quieter space and who says the Bears are going to lose. They might win. You never know

PR- Wow that's impressive. I never could manage the heavy bag. I'm thinking it's the dancer thing. Proper dance form doesn't put a lot of power into a kick ( a jump yes, but a kick no)hmmm as for the other pent up "energy" I still say there have to be tons of hot guys and gals out there who are interested in you ( 'cause I just can't see how any single person could not be interested in my amazing, beautiful, fantastic Rose) so big HUGS and I'm sure you'll find someone:)

Good Morning everyone. I'm totally stoked about hearing of the Moonenites invading Boston. Pretty bad when the Bomb Squad has to be called. For us Adult Swim Fans this is a step in some direction.

Sorry for the slight jack, just wanted to share my excitement.

So what's up today? I see PR still has some excess energy to burn. I tend to find all the manual labor I can to tend to those kind of energies. Must really make everyone happy when I get like that. Wood get cut, dishes get done, heavy things get moved...
Looks like I still need more to do.

(Starts building a bridge for PR's well being)
Might be a while hon, but I'm sure ut's worth the wait. Is this bridge being built in a south westerly direction? (Figured out the quizzical notions long ago) I'm sure the time will draw all too soon when the chance to meet will show itself. Just warn us before hand. I'm sure everyone likes their eyebrows and would wish to duck and cover when those flames tear the world asunder.

As for the Adult Swim thing, I wanna terrorize folk with lite bright. JQ had a pic of the guys who didi it in cuffs. What are they to be charged with? Littering? And Myspace featured a vid of them doing it. How cool is that?

I'm such a dork.

He tries to help - with the laundry - but in his hurry to get it done as quickly as possible, a red shirt almost always seems to wind its way into the white load. Maybe he does this on purpose...

PR, if you've found the right guy, and your job stinks...what is holding you in Colorado? Well, I know you haven't physically met him yet...but its something to think about.

IT WAS F'ING LITE BRIGHT!!!

They should be thankful. Their emergancy preparedness was tested and they seemed to pass fairly well. Turner already stated they would pay the city of Boston a million bucks for the "inconvinience'. Not to mention it happened late night/early morning so the life of Boston was not terribly interrupted. I just think its cool as hell for Adult Swim to have no intention of being so massly advertized and to have their campaign plastered all over the world.

Gotta go to an eaRLY LUNCH. aNOTHER LATE DAY SO i GET EXTRA TIME.

Well, actually there are quite a few things keeping me in Colorado. One goes by the name of Cara, another goes by the name of Hadafang (weapons are not allowed in OZ) and the third goes by the name Imigration Requirements. Not just the weapons thing, but the fact that they want imigrants to have, like, a skill. There's also the lack of money to travel on my part. Unless I saved like mad AND skipped DragonCon. And in all honesty, I might freak out to find myself so far from home. Wonderful Browncoats there notwithstanding, it's a scary thing to think about. I am going to try to save up more next year and visit my Aussies then (after I've met both of them) but I'm not sure I could live somewhere that would take my knives away. Please don't think that's crazy of me.
Plus my qing ren has been planning a trip up here for months, it's just taken a bit longer than we thought it would Who'd have thought international travel would be so complicated??
Anyway, we're waiting to see how it goes. If it goes well... I don't know what kind of warning you'll want, but you might see a few hints in the form of a new avatar and a distinct lack of posting on my part. Bomb shelter not required. Probably.
I sure appreciate the idea of the bridge, NV Do let me know when you've got it done...

I understand. Husband wants to move to the Midwest where cost of living is much lower but I can't see myself leaving this area. And I have no immigration requirements holding me.

My sister lived in Vancouver, BC for a long time "without a job" before she could get "Landed Immigrant Status" and therefore get a job. (She actually worked there, was paid by her company to a US bank account, to get around their strict immigration rules.) On paper, it looked like she was an unpaid intern. But that is Canada. I don't know Australian rules.

The knife thing is...weird. What if you could prove they are part of your religious practice? Just wondering out loud.

Well, if he does come to CO, and there is a distinct lack of posting...we'll know why.
Glad me and my combustable materials live far away!

But, what about Crocodile Dundee? Was all that just a lie? Don't rob me of my stereotypical views!!

NV - That's an awfully sweet thought about the bridge. Wish I would have thought of it.

Aqua Teen. Okay. I could see it, if Boston were the only city. Maybe. And I could see it if the other 9 (count 'em NINE!) cities were scared, too. But this is just horsest! Have their beans gone to their head?

A lot of the restrictions are newer. Magda told me that when she was my age (probably a little younger, actually) she knew a guy with a knife. Should have thought to ask if it was sharp. They do allow dull blades for display (though any form of gun is banned unless you bind yourself to it with red tape) but I couldn't bring myself to dull my gorgeous pieces. That would defeat the whole purpose anyway...
Anyway, got off track there. My point is that when Crocodile Dundee was made, it's likely there were fewer restrictions. And I'm sure there must be some process to allow someone who basically lives in the bush to have weapons, anyway.
*ahem* If the natives would actually get online maybe they could shed some light on it...

And, and, and... Colorado is cool? The mountains are pretty, and there are nice seasons (except for this one - bleh), and it's healthy, and you have more red blood cells, and there's less crime, and people aren't quite as stupid as elsewhere, and, and, and... uh...

On immigration requirements - I looked up how hard it would be to get to New Zealand (I thought about maybe leaving the US of A on account of its political stupidities and such), and it is. Hard, that is. Plus, I think the reverse seasons would throw me for a loop.

But, I'm sure it's a nice place to visit.

That's so funny yinyang; I looked into the exact same thing!! (For the exact same resons. Back in 2004 it was.) The requirements for Australia were similar, I think. Don't remember exactly; I think I looked at them after I was looking at New Zealand. But yeah, hard to qualify.
And yes the mountains are pretty (and help with my hopeless sense of direction) and the high red blood count is good and the crime is low... But right now I want to take a giant blowtorch to all the white stuff. And the sky too, maybe, just because it's soooo cold even without the white stuff.

No matter how hard I try, NV, I'm just never going to get a good picture of you...

Caroline? Really?? I mean she was pretty and all, but a crush...Huh.

Okay, let me approach this another way. So who would have been your top five? (or are or are your top five; or both)

I don't know that I can narrow the childhood thing down to five. Seems like every year there were another five. So for me I think I will try for all-time, but in chronological order by fictional/non-fictional. I love setting parameters I immediately ignore.

Fiction:
Laura Petrie
Cat Woman (Julie Newmarr is the only one ever; I will however accept Michelle Pfeiffer or Halle Berry in any other role.)
The Black Widow (Marvel Comics)
Honey West/Modesty Blaise (Not much difference here, is there? Kind of like Matt Helm and Derek Flint...)
Electra (Marvel Comics: not the movies)
The Women of Sin City
Who am I missing...?

Most of the Hollywood Golden Era Bombshells
Ann-Margret
Raquel Welch
Kate Jackson/Stephanie Zimbalist
Olivia Newton-John
Nastassja Kinski
Ashley Judd
I know I'm missing someone...

RHYIANAN

GRRRRR. Since there's a blizzard warning and whiteout condiditions, my campus is closed today. Normally that wouldn't be a problem except I'm supposed to be finishing a project, but can't since the lab is closed. I was planning on living in the lab until it was done, but now I'm gonna have to scramble to finish. Snow sucks, as does the -4 temperature.

Think my prof will take the excuse "it's not done because of the snow"?

YINYANG

You were busy trying to get yourself lit on fire. It happens.

With a blizzard warning and whiteout conditions? I hope so, Rhyianan.

Well, if he doesn't, you can always go into selling them famous wobbly-headed geisha dolls; people love those! :)

~~~ now for totally random ~~~
Every other Friday is payday at my company. When we were all at the South building (we're in the process of moving facilities... guh), the Company provided a ginormous selection of donuts, cookies, and muffins for us. Now that almost everyone is at the new North facility, the Company only provides the selection of "Yay! Payday!" goodies to the South building. Has something to do with the contract the Company set up with the North building catering service.
Anyhow, I had to be at the South building Friday morning around 6am to make some demo samples for my Director's Board Meeting. Or whatever. So I happened to mention to my friend in the Cath Lab that I should hang around and smuggle out the donuts when they arrive. Unfortunately, I had to leave well before that happened.
Fast forward to Friday afternoon. I get an envelope delivered to me via our standard inter-office mail. It was big and bulky, and as soon as I saw it, I started snikkering. Upon opening the envelope, I found a "blue nitrile glove" box (yes, heh heh, those blue gloves), packed full of cookies and donuts - one of which was a jelly filled donut, sent along just to tempt fate.
My friend sent cookies and donuts to me via an inter-office mail envelope. I couldn't stop giggling like a lunatic. It was wonderfully silly and kind, and it made the day soooo much better.
People passing by: "Hey! Where'd you get that donut?"
Me, innocent look: *shrug* *snikker*
Just thought I'd share.... In really small font so as no to take up space.
