so if theres a special level of hell reserved for people who talk at the theatre, i reckon mal and rance vergis will be there. in "heart of gold" they were talking to each other at the theatre. or would saving the whore house cancel mal's offense? i know rance will be there, i bet he has his own office.

Gorrammit - Pay attention to the Special Level of Hell rules. Please re-read rule set 5, book J1, chapter 7, paragraph 117.32b. It explains clearly the "save whore house" exceptions.

Am I the only one who reads the updated tomes when they are published? Tsk tsk.

You were busy trying to get yourself lit on fire. It happens.

Wait... they were at the theatre? What? Now I have to re-watch Heart of Gold sometime.

when mal and mandy are talking and he says he wants to meet rance. "he'll be at the theatre, thats a given" or something to that effect. and youll notice in the background of that scene, theres someone on stage giving a performance, just as the camera pans around to mal and rance.

I always liked that scene because it depicts the exodus from Earth that was. One of those great, understated moments which helped make the show so great.

Well, at that point there were lots of folks standing around talking. I don't think the actual performance was in progress -- either it hadn't started or it was intermission.

So what was going on with the shadow puppets? I'd say it was entertainment for the town's bored kiddies. Sort of like the card table you and your cousins used to have to eat on while the grown-ups were in the dining room.

The rule is very much in force in the real world though.

Last Saturday my daughter and I went to see DREAMGIRLS. We really splurged, 2 matinee tickets, pop corn for each of us, sodas etc. The whole deal came to over $25.

Beautiful theater, film was digital (spoiled now-I'll not see a film on film if I can help it) and the girls were singing their hearts out.

Well, there were 2 women up above 2 rows above us that would not stop talking. Most of us in that section would turn around and glare at them and they went go on and on oblivious to eveyone else in the theater.

I wish I had had Mal's pistol-I think I would have used it and sent them straight to the special hell.

This is why I rarely go to the movies and wait for everything to come out on DVD.

Sorry for the hijack but it's been bugging me for over a week..

It struck me that that wasn't a theater theater, if that makes any sense. It was like a bar putting on entertainment, I'm sure in the background there was a bar at some point. I got the feeling that it was bar, not a theater, especially since no one was sitting down watching anything, and the lights were on.

More insane ramblings by the people who brought you beeeer milkshakes!
No one can see their reflection in running water. It is only in still water that we can see.
