You really need to, um, do something about that. Soon. I know it won't help but if/when you do nod off, I hope it's sweet and peaceful.

Yes, well, as soon as I very well can I will, to be sure.
I appreciate the peaceful wishes

Been in the new place for one night now. Slightly nervous about the quieter part. While I was getting the place livable I heard plenty of IMing going on in one of the neighboring apartments. Not a good sign for the sound proofing. The kitty was more than a little freaked out too. Every new sound set her off. Especially the motorcycle she heard rev at one point that resulted in the new hole I have in my arm. Silly kitty. She seems to be gaining a little of her confidence back though. Now I just needs me some internets in the new place.

I posted this first on the old thread; I wanted to make sure you saw it, PR.

And that's why I love you.

PLEASE don't think I was talking about you. I was talking about a lot of other people who can't tell quantity from quality and seem to be proud of it. It's a long time rant I've had about the Pagan community and its apparent refusal to be a community.

BTW, what makes me even madder than the New Age section is when the books are in with the hobbies. What exactly does my religion have to do with pet care and vintage tractors? And if my religion is a hobby why aren't the books in the "Religion" section counted as such?

I did see it in the old thread just now
And I've never seen them in 'hobbies' but that would make me throw a royal polite icy fit, I can tell you. I can't remember where it was Borders had them, but they did better than most, if memory serves. 'Spirituallity' or something.

According to Wikipedia, Pyewacket is also the current name of a MaxZ86 class sailing yacht commissioned in 2004 by Roy Disney, former CEO of the Walt Disney Corporation. Not sure why I find that interesting. Maybe it's the "Magic" Kingdom connection. Or not.

Anyway, hi, neurosymbiote!

Per IMDB; BB&C got the name for the cat (Pyewacket) from a list of 'familiars' of one of the accused witches from the Salem Witch Trials (the familiar might have actually been a dog, I can't remember).
Eventhough I'm not a huge Kim Novak fan, I liked the name!

As the former manager of a B&N, my store went against shelving guidelines and books of a pagan nature lived in "Religion - Other" rather than how B&N would prefer them to be which is "New Age."
I used to get hell from my DM, but I always wiggled out of it by telling him "I have a lot of pagan customers who object to their religion classified as New Age. How would Muslims react if we kept the Koran in New Age?
(On a side note, you must NEVER shelve the Koran at waist height or lower. Very disrespectful. It always must be shelved on the upper most shelf.)

My grandfather stole the key from their honeymoon suite. The place we stayed at for our honeymoon night on the Pagan River in Virginny still had nice solid old fashioned brass keys. Hopefully they don't miss the one from our suite too much....

OK, I asked if I could have it and they said yes. They know my in-laws, so I couldn't be THAT much of a low down dirty deciever.

You got new hotel / motel keys? Huh?

Here's a link to a Google image search for PUSF. Not posting the image so you can see the product name for yourself. Very appropriate for this bunch.

It's funny though. We haven't actually seen each other since shortly after SerenityNow/EqualityNow 2006.

I'm still trying to figure out how come HK keeps getting keys handed to her...

So listen, I've been meaning to ask and since I have two out of three of you here (unless you want to meet over at the Pub), I'll do it now. If I can tear your minds away from...what have you.

Has anyone remarked about the childrens' names? MsG, I hink I may have asked this of you before. Annie (Oakley?) and Wyatt (Earp?), makes sense y'all are out west. But Tidbit is named (Kit?) Carson and then there's LA's little Space Monkey (Marshall Matt?) Dylan. Okay that's a slight stretch, but here we all are in an endless loop of watching the same Space Western. What does it all mean?

LOL Jonny I love your guesses about Annie and Wyatt's names. Actually Annie is short for AnnaBelle which was my grandmother's name and Wyatt is actually a nickname for Wycroft III. But those were really a good guess. My family is from back East ( Atlanta to be precise) and we use mostly family names ( ok actually all family names) for example I am named Lila for my Great Aunt Lila and my mother's cousin Lila ( who has also named her daughter Lila) We sort this out by saying mom's cousin is Big Lila, I am just plain Lila, and Big Lila's daughter is Little Lila:) Anyone confused yet???

I'm still convinced that I switched sex in the womb on purpose after hearing my grandmother's suggestion for a name. She wanted me named after her mother, apparently.

If I was a girl she suggested the name Bunie Azalee. And that's why I'm male. If it had been her middle name (Bunea) I might have considered the whole ovary thing. Hey, I did it in the last life. But Bunie Azalee was just too much for me.

Nope. My dad's dad was named Alexander. My dad's brother was named Alexander, who named one of his sons Alexander. My dad's sister named named one of her Alexander. Four Alexanders and two of them were "Cousin Alex", although Alex III got the "Little Alex" treatment a lot.

My dad's name was Pete, too.

Toni's dad was second in line of what turned into four generations of Wallaces.

I'm quite at home in these waters.

EDIT 1: Bwahahahahahahaha!! Now I know your name! I suppose I could have asked at some point...

EDIT 2: YinYang, thanks for the (right back atcha) and I really like the new sig.

EDIT 3: LILA! (it's really short for Delilah, isn't it?)

So while searching for an appropriate happy jumping image (hence the Penguin above) I ran across this one. You'll never guess who I thought of first!

My name doesn't run in the family. Caroline and Anne does, and John too, but not so much. If I had a daughter I'd more than likely call her Caroline or Anne, since I also happen to like the names, although I have a liking for Celtic names too. Maybe Aine.

One of my brothers (I have three) was born on Valentine's Day (nope, it wasn't Geekmafia) and my poor Mum was pestered with people insisting he be called Valentine. Mum hated the name so much she didn't even give it to him as a middle name!

Dylan's a good name, as is Sean (I guess I could have done the "Shane, come back! Shane!" thing, but I didn't think of it in time and it doesn't work as well.)

River would have been nice, but around here it would have led to no end of confusion. And Caleb is a great name. Not in the least inspire by Port Charles I'm sure. Hubby's Irish?

JQ - Dylan was the only name my husband and I could agree on. If it were up to me his name would have been River .Sean would have been Caleb , but again no agreement there either.

Which reminds me of another ponderance I missed...crushes.

I've got a huge crush on a soap actor named Michael Easton.Who played a very sexy vampire named Caleb on the (cancelled ) soap Port Charles. *sigh* I really have it bad for this man....only Nathan compares in my heart.*sigh*

Hi everyone!!
It's feels like so long since I've been at the water cooler. The other day I was gonna get on, but then it had like a bazillion posts, so I was just gonna wait til the next one, and now it has 40 odd posts... Not like I had anything sensible to say anyways...
I started my new classes though! Yay for mind-numbing mathematics first thing in the morning!
