ZOMG! MsG. Hedgehogs are the cutest things! The lady we used to get our ceremic pieces from had one. They just don't seem like they ought to be alive.

Fear the cat.

MSG & Mav, I'm doing well! Life's been keeping me busy. I took up salsa dancing and have been going like 4-5 times a week... I'm still a newbie, but I'm having a lot of fun.

Jonny! It's good to be back. I missed the verse, here.

I also met Inara! She was here in Dallas a couple of weeks ago. Only 6 more BDH's to meet... and of course Joss as well!

Before my daughter was born we had 5 Ferrets. Man they are soo much fun, but very high Maint! Lets see there was Monster, Imp, Nymph (she loved me and hated Laurelin. Would go out of her way to bite her at least once a day) Auto, and Bobby. The last two were rescue animals that already had names.

Man I miss them sometimes!

It's Ged! Hey, everybody! It's Ged! Ged's back! *hugs Ged* How are ya?

Mavs - yep, "buggered" means sex. Rear door sex, to put it euphanistically. Which explains why a hedgehog can't be buggered - there are spike issues. Not being buggered is also an expression for not being bothered.

MSG - The song is referred to several times in Terry Pratchett's 'Discworld' novels, but the words are never given. A witch called Nanny Ogg is very fond of the song, especially when she's had a few too many drinks. There are a couple of fan versions available online. In fact, Terry Pratchett dedicated his book 'Witches Abroad' to everyone who wrote one.

So what does everyone think of non-committal relationships. Friends with deep bonds but spend next to no (if none at all) time together. I find that I have at least four. And how does anyone possibly put up with a non-committal romantic relationship? I only ask in the fear of one forming and what to look out for.

NVG, I've never been in one so I couldn't speak from experience. I'm all about commitment and relationships and the like... you get a deeper connection, in my opinion.

As to the signs of one and how to avoid one? Hmm, I'd say when someone likes you they show it. Actions speak louder than words. If they're calling / texting / emailing or wanting to hang out a lot and they express interest in you and ask a lot of questions about you, I'd say that a sign that they do like you. Love those run-on sentences... sorry to all you English majors.

I don't know what this "deep bond" is you speak of but I have a few friends that I don't spend all that much physical time with, but I talk to them a lot over the internets. I consider them very good friends and I'm super comfortable around them when I do see them in person.

However, I would not want a romantic relationship like that. IMO romantic relationships take things to a totally different level of knowing a person than friendships do. To know a person that way you really need to be around each other. To notice body language and understand what the person is feeling. You just can't get that stuff any other way. That's just my opinion though.

Well, I kinda already see a half and half thing happening. I really get that people who live busy lives need to make time. Just the general confusion as usual.

There is other help I've nneded for a few weeks now. Seems I've lost pleasure in eating. Not that I've had something so great that nothing else tastes good. But that I haven't had anything good for a very long time. Or maybe I just lost some taste buds. But my sense of smell is still incredible.

On the bright side you can save money by going on an all gruel diet.

On the realistic side maybe you just need somebody to make you your favorite meal or something or maybe it's something else in your life that is making the rest of your experiences dulled.

See ya Zeek.

I hope you're okay FMF. Hates to see you sad (if indeed that was the emotion you were communicating).

I think life is very good right now. But this constant hunger seems to always cloud the mind a bit. Sometimes the diabetes will play with your head and say you're hungry when in fact you are not. I think it might be actual hunger. I've been eating little bits throughout the day and one actual meal in the evening for the last month or so. Along with drinking a buttload of water that seems to be the SOP for summertime. I just need to find a better range of things to eat throughout the day.

I haven't cooked for alot of people lately. I loved to cook for the kids here in the facility back when I was still working nights. I'd like to throw a party at home, but it seems everyone is busy at different times of the day every day.
