Lol, Zeek! (Why do I always seem to start replies to you with "lol"? Hmmm... ) Thanks for the info, I'll pass it along to my sisters (I'm sure my dad and brother will appreciate it as well, hehe).

Good timing though, I was just stopping by to say hi. I've had a bit of a crazy week so I haven't been around much -- looks like I caught a flu virus last week, which my insane overactive immune system proceeded to beat to a bloody pulp. My temperature got up to 100.0°, and all the tracking I've done of my health stuff in the past seems to indicate that if I run a fever over 100°, my symptoms flare. My immune system put the beat down on that virus and my fever broke pretty quickly and didn't go higher than 100.0°, so hopefully the full alarm on my immune system wasn't triggered. Wish me luck though.

Oh, and Zeek (and anyone else familiar with World of Warcraft), I thought you might get a kick out of this: http://www.wowitemcreator.com/view/22221/CATURDAY.html

Yeah ok, I'm a bit hyper right now. I woke up this morning with a really bad headache, only to find that we were out of coffee. I finally dragged myself out to the store and bought more, then came home and made a reeeeaaaally strong cup. Headache gone, hyperness here!

You want to pick a fight with me?

I "rarely answer" because I am actually working all fing day long instead of checking message boards. Generally, I start at 6:30 - 7am, get a break around lunch time and the next time I can get here is around 5pm. (On rare occassion, I get to steal a few on-line minutes here and there when I'm actually at my desk and not solving everyone's fing problems or dealing with my own Executive-Management-imposed troubles.) I don't care if that isn't often enough for you.

I asked a question about why you keep making a big point of writing "She" instead of the girl's name.
I got my answer.
You want me to keep going on that topic?

Whoa there. I had already said sorry. I was displaying the fact that I was looking for someone, ANYONE, to pic a fight with at the moment. That moment passed about thirty seconds after I posted the message.

And on the subject of "She", I prefer not to post names of people I am connected to IRL. Not that it's difficult to figure out who they are if they are to happen upon the board, but I figure on having enough courtesy not to call them by their given names.

So again, with my deepest sincerity, I am sorry if I have offended you in any way shape or form. It is not my aim to disrupt or displease your online experience. It is understandable that my communication style might not suit your own sensibiities, but it is who I am. To deny that is to deny anyone the truth of the true me.

My truth has been chained for way too long. I will no longer be a chained dog waiting to be beaten by those displeased with him. If my truth is the least bit acceptable, cool. Thank you in advance. If it isn't, than that's just too bad. I will be myself or I will be dead. No more, no less.

* bigassjimibearhuggles and a for the lovely hippie *

grok is a term used in Robert Heinlein's 'Stranger in a Strange Land' by the human raised on Mars, Michael Valentine Smith. It is a crude vocalization for the way the Martians experience life, by taking something in and becoming a part of it (or it becoming a part of them) until the thing is understood and cherished.

Make any sense ?

Morning, Penguin, RIMG...afternoon Hobbleit!

What's going on this morning? You seem to be walking a lonely highway there, Penguin.

Coffee is not ready yet, and virtual coffee ain't gettin' it done.

This morning's song to daycare was "Birdhouse in your Soul" by TMBG. I believe I have turned Tidbit away from the evil that is the country music his father listens to. He was having a blast singing in the back seat. And, I purged out of my head a song that has been going around in circles for the better part of 2 days!

EDIT: Just got this from wtop.com, the top info station in the DC area:

Quote:

NORAD Exercise Planned for Wednesday Night
April 18, 2007 - 5:17am

WASHINGTON - If you hear and see a lot military planes and helicopters Wednesday night and early Thursday, it's just an exercise.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command will be conducting Exercise Falcon Virgo 07-07.

According to a news release, the training flights will be held in coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration, the National Capital Region Command Center, the Joint Air Defense Operations Center, Cheyenne Mountain Directorate, CONUS NORAD Region, Eastern Air Defense Sector, Western Air Defense Sector, Civil Air Patrol and the US Coast Guard Rotary Wing Air Intercept.

The exercise is designed to test NORAD's intercept and identification operations.

Since 9/11, the Government is usually very good at announcing these exercizes, usually held out of Patuxent River AF Station.

It is extremely unnerving to be sitting in your living room, watching tv at 10 PM, and hear/feel an F-14 streak over your house.

Good definition. Simpler would be to say a "complete, deep understanding". Often used in sarcasm with reference to something that can not be understood in the least.

grrr so I actually went to ben & jerry's free cone day (which turned out to be little cups instead of cones but whatever). They still didn't have any stephen colbert's americone dream and everyone seemed confused about the name anyway. The manager then proceeded to tell me they weren't selling ice cream at all that day. What kind of a promotion is that? "Hello shopkeep I wish to trade money for ice cream." "Get out! We don't want your money today!!!"

Bah I will find me some stephen colbert ice cream someday.

Mavs, I must applaud your eradication of all things country from the tidbits musical preferences. TMBG is an excellent way to raise a child interested in out-of-the-box thinking...'cause you know...they're just strange and cool. Betchya he'd like a little Operation Ivy...they're always good for some early morning energy.

Country sucks.

Do you watch 30 Rock? It's quirky and funny...recent ep had Alec Baldwin's character do a firework special TV Show. The way the display was going off it looked like the building was under attack. Hrmmm...Somehow it loses something in the re-telling...but it was Hi-larious.
