Emma!
Check the last thread for a bit of explination of my bad mood. Or if you have myspace I blogged about it. (You haffta have myspace and add me, though, because I have it set to either friends only or preferred only; can't 'member) But I 'ppreciate the uncomprehending sympathy.
How have you been woman?

*edit* Oh, now she's saying I'm immature for 'clinging' to things that happened 'months ago'. She's just a whore. Some insanity prompted me to write back to her, this gist of it being "I don't consider it healthy to interact with people who have said they harbor mistrust and dislike of me. Anything I feel about that isn't going away just on your say-so. Think what you like about my maturity levels, but in my world adults talk things out if they actually want to solve a problem." She wrote back, but I really didn't feel like reading it so I haven't.

As opposed to the maturity of using your blog to tear strips off a person you don't like anymore and then getting annoyed with them because they get upset when they find out. Isn't it wonderful that you have a shining beacon of maturity like that to teach you how to be mature?

Now Kelkhil, this wrestling... is there mud of any kind involved?

Mud's all dirty. I prefer something tasty.

Okay so I have just been catching up (because is was way more fun than getting on with my lesson prep) and can now give comprehending sympathy.

You know you are like me in that we care way too much about what other people think about us. Sometimes I think it would be so much easier to be shallow and self obsessed, but then people who lack any level of empathy tend to be complete Asshats (a great term that I have now been introduced to) so I guess that we should all be grateful that you are sensative and emotionally giving, even if it does leave you vulnerable.

Better get back to work. I am now a lecturer! Who'd a thunk! Sadly this means putting in 16-20 hour days most of the time trying desperately to learn what it is I'm supposed to be teaching the next day. Oh, and after 3 months of teaching I'm finally starting teacher training next week! It will be interesting finding out how I should have been doing things! Maybe they'll tell me how to deal with a situation such as a student beating his head against the wall until it bled (a rage prompted by my mild request that he stop hitting his friend with a clipboard!)

Hey Dh, thanks for the tea

Sorry to read about your situation PR, if it was me I'l just ignore them as they don't seem worth the effort of thinking but that's easy for someone who isn't involved to say, feel free to tell me to mind my own business but shove them in their own compartment, lock the door and leave them to rot.

Now back to the wrestling, this will stay above board won't it as I don't want to get into trouble with my other half

I never said anything about washing it off.

However, if we do go with washing... even if mud is easier to wash off and better for the skin, it's not something I want to get an accidental mouthful of.

Emma, you're a beautiful person I've missed you so! Sorry to hear about the long hours, but I hope you're enjoying yourself (and I hope you can get on to see us more often sometimes maybe?)

I'm a lecturer in Animal Welfare and Vetinary Nursing (which is fun as I know nothing about being a vet!). What's your area of interest?

As for the articles *looks shifty* yes, I am in the process of writing a couple of articles about my recent grass snake research (in that I will start thinking about it any day now).

Sooooo... who's for a jelly fight?! Baggsie the blue, that stuff really stains!

No doubt you're right, but as darling Emma said, I just care too much about what people think about me. And not just this girl, but everyone she could possibly come into contact with. Charming as she is, she has a lot of friends (even if they do rotate a lot) so the odds of meeting up with someone who she's spread her poison to is pretty high, and I'd prefer not having random strangers thinking I'm a piece of scum before they even talk to me or know any more than my name.
It's probably a lost cause. She cast me as the villain of the story a few years ago, and it doesn't seem likely to change. *sigh*

Well, my dream would be to lecture in English Litt, but that's not going to happen any time soon since I just have a degree in the subject and you need a fair amount of postgraduate qualifications to lecture. Which I can't afford and don't have the time to do. *sigh*

Not that it matters since I'd love to specialise in Medieval Literature, which no one would study anyway...

...but at the moment I teach computers to adults, which is lots of fun. I'm ~slowly~ gaining more qualifications in that area too and may eventually get enough to work at college level. Eventually. Maybe. Perhaps.

I might have to sit in the corner and hide, I am a happily coupled off man (I know, she keeps telling me!) and all this food covered female combat could get me into a lot of trouble

on another tack, one of these days I really ought to go back and get some more qualification now that I'd be actually motivated to get em, hope the lecturing/articles goes well and the rest of you get to do the course you want, right, back to work and no trying to distract me with your feminine whiles.

You want to sulk or scream you go right ahead. We've all been there at one point or another. No one here is going to judge or think less of you. You're human and you're going through a rough time so of course there will be emotion. Any of the rest of us would do the same. We're here for you PR.

In most states you would have to wait until she was eighteen. *ducks*

Came across this post in linear board mode, as I'm not given to hanging out on this thread. Good thing too: larfed my ass off at this one, which is gonna make it hard to a) walk, and b) sit (& never mind doing what rhymes, eh). As I'm working the night shift this week, thanks, PR, for the inducing the bedtime gigglefest!

It looks as though some of the ladies awere trying to entice Gee to jello (jelly for the international ones) wrestle in blue jello. Geez, the things you can miss by sleeping through the night. :)

I agree. We need some sort of machine that'll sleep for us.

So a few of the ladies are threatening jello wrestling, huh? Where did Gee retreat to, I might just join him.

May you have enough.
