This is a serious call for help! So if you are reading this, Joss Whedon, answer the call.

Hello Joss,
My name is blank (for the purposes of identity security, I shall leave my name blank)

I have so many questions to ask and over the last few months one question keeps bugging me. So here it is: How do you stop yourself from returning to Firefly and Serenity, the characters are so deep and real. Anybody in the world can relate to them and you intergrate them into a world that is literally "out of this world".

I'm a budding writer. I have ideas galore filling up my head, but somehow my ideas keep coming back to the firefly 'verse. My ideas keep mingling into your glorious work, which is bugging me, not because your work isn't magnificent but because I'm trying to work on an original piece (not firefly related).

So in short how do you do it? How do you move on from such a magnificent piece of history and just leave it behind, turning your back on the browncoats you so cleverly brought to the world?

If you know how to do this, please share it with me and the rest of your fellow fans, I'm sure at one stage or another they have also thought about it.

This is not a question of your abandonment of firefly and serenity, because I am sure you have not completely abandoned Serenity and her crew, merely put them aside until the opportune moment to reveal them to the world in more wonderous ways.

The other is not a question so to say, more a yearn for answers. I have heard in rumours that you are exploring your options in comics, etc. but as time goes by I feel that the fans will dwindle if there is little or no hope of a return of our favourite heroes. I know that it is difficult and there are bounds of hurdles in creating a masterpiece, especially a sequel or second season and I'm sure that you are trying your hardest. But we the fans are dying, fading away from the world of fantasy and amazement that you created.

So here I am pleading with you to answer my question and give us browncoats some hope. Tell us what you are planning to do. Give us either a plan or a definitive yes or no. Show us you haven't given up. Please stop pulling our heart strings and telling us a round about answer. Give it to us straight, we can bear it, we are a strong army of browncoats, who just want the truth.

Anyway I've asked my question and pleaded for the truth now the rest is up to you, Joss.

Thankyou for your time, and I hope you can answer my question and give me a little insight into the master's mind.

Signed blank(as mention above, identity security purposes.)

The show is alive JR, well as long as we have the dvds. I swear FF is as fresh as if it had started just this year. That's how well written it is. Don't give up any hope. We're still asquawkin and awailkin and as long as we do, they hear us. We are a thorn in a lions a$$ or maybe a F*>< s

We're still flying. Just look at how many new Browncoats there are joining up. Hey I only found Firefly/Serenity recently and I ain't nothing special, so there must be hundreds, (and thousands if my twisted little imagination had its way)of new peepl's finding the Verse' all the time. I don't call that dyin' I call that thriving!

Yeah, you can't un-boil this egg!
Too many people with too many DVDs!

If DVD hadn't been invented, it would've been a different story, because VHS tapes wear out, and they don't travel as well.
A DVD picture is as perfect the 1000th time as it was the first.

About every 7.3 minutes a new Browncoat is being born.

Chain reaction.
