In case if you Browncoats dont already know, you can put Serenity and all Firefly episodes free of charge on your iPod or iTunes. That is if you have both.

There is software you can download called Handbrake. It will rip the DVD you have in your computer and put it in m4 format. Then you can put that movie in your iTunes and evenutally in your iPod. So now you can take Serenity with you where ever you go!

http://handbrake.m0k.org/

Available for all computers i believe.

Your welcome!

GRIZWALD

Yup, Mr. Grizwald uses that much more frequently than I would like him to, like ripping Netflix rentals to put on his iPod. If he leaves them on more than a couple of days I feel obligated to go buy the DVD so he is legal again.

I concur, Griz.

I have no problem using Handbrake to rip things I already own, for my own use (like putting Firefly on my ipod) but its a real moral bugger when it comes to things one doesn't own.
Actually...it's not a bugger. I just don't do it.

I dont think it would be illegal to rip a Netflix DVD. You paid to get that DVD and as long as you arent distributing i think everyone should be using Handbrake.

You can differ on whether it's unethical or immoral. You can't differ on whether it's illegal. It is.
