You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

I'm gonna go in tomorrow morning, clear my stuff out of the fridge, 'an give her my speech. I think it would seem rather suspicious if I pulled out a camera, though

Sorry Kel, I might be able to hop on when I get up in the mornings, we'll see

Is it true?? What the title says? That you have the cure to grumpyness?? 'Cuz I am in need of healing.

Be forewarned though, I am a professional crank. You will have your work cut out for you.

If I'm not imposing, a CR and ginger would go a long way to easing the grumpiness... ok, maybe four or ten of them.

If you're truly worried about propriety (and after said speech is completed I can see where that would be a priority for you (?)) you could alway mount a secret spy cam--somewhere--on your person...

Oh no, I'm going to be very professional while telling her she's a shitty manager. Wanna hear it?

"Okay, I've been thinking about this, and I feel I have done my utmost to be a good employee. You seem to feel I'm not a good employee, you get upset over things I consider to be minor mistakes, and we just don't seem to be fulfilling each other's needs anymore. I think it's time I moved on. As you have told me in no uncertain terms that there's someone else waiting for my job, I will be moving on immediately. Just drop my last check in the mail."

And when she says "But we don't have anyone else! We need you here!" I'm gonna say, "I'm sorry to hear that. You told me otherwise, I took you at your word, I'm starting my new job on Monday. I would heartily suggest that you not put casual threats in writing in the future. It's not been very good for my morale. Please mail me my last check."

Sorry, PR, but this is all wrong. Let me help you with a few details:

"Okay, I've been thinking about this, shithead, and I feel I have done my utmost to be a good employee. You are moronic enough to seem to feel I'm not a good employee, you get upset over frivolous things I consider to be minor mistakes, and we just don't seem to be fulfilling each other's needs anymore: Your need being that of having someone around to take your crap. I think it's time I moved on to anything even slightly better. And I mean ANYTHING. As you have lied to me that there's someone else waiting for my job, I will be moving on immediately. Really. I just cannot get out soon enough. Just drop my last check in the mail and kiss my ass."

I hope that helps.

Hi people, I'm sorry to have missed out on so much, last time I was on Rose was looking for a new job now she'd startng on Monday! Things sure more fast round hewre! Congrats Sweetie. I think a fresh start every now and then does everyone the world of good.

In fact can I come and join you?!

NOT been a good day today. Just given out feedback forms to one of my classes and got some horrible comments (including what would you improve about this course: A different lecturer, and
What was the best bit: The time I skipped a lesson. NOt very helpful! One lovely person sung my praises but an average of the group of 40 came out as mediocre verging on bad.)

Sigh. And I've been staying up till 2am every morning this week trying to get through their marking! I'm this close to giving up.

Can I have a drink please?

Em don't listen!!! I mean that seriously. Most of the time students loathe anyone who tells them what to do and they write those nasty reviews because they either didn't like the subject or they don't like being students and that is their immature way of dealing. I'd take this as a sign you might want to jazz up the presentation( if it's applicable)with some silliness, but overall...DO NOT TAKE THIS TO HEART!! If one comment cropped up a lot you might want to think about it, but if their responses involved skipping class...that tells you what kind of student they are ( unmotivated, lazy, and whiny) and that they likely give the same feedback to all teachers. It's their failing not yours!!!!! Do not let them discourage you. Look at what the good kid wrote and look at all the forms. If there are a few common themes you might want to look at those areas, but otherwise ignore the crap the whiny weasels dish out ( I always do)
BIG HUGS and much love Em you are great. You're just new and looking for your style and still getting your feet under you. You hang in there sweety and email me if you need me ok!

ROSE_ whoooo way to go darlin!!! That's my girl. You're so terrific I just knew you'd get snapped up the minute someone interviewed you. ...though this does ruin my plans to hold a cleansing in your break room and watch the people flee the witches...drat! LOL and big jumping up and down hugs.

Emma, there were people that walked out of this one, although only at an early stage. More to do with the ethics/morals/humanity of certain military orders given, although had they stayed, a certain gorey scene later may've driven 'em out.

It was cool to see some familiar faces in it, including the narrator from Oz (better known as Walt from Lost) and Rose Byrne, a wonderful aussie actress.

I'll refrain from spoilers tho.

Emma - Let me be yet another person to offer you some encouragement.

You handed your students a "test". Not one where it would be in their control to pass or fail, but one where they could pass or fail you. The result shouldn't surprise you. Consider that you should count yourself lucky if you have administration fair enough and intelligent enough to do a good job of reviewing you. To expect the students to have what it takes to fairly review you - those opinions aren't worth anything.

I would want a review of me to be done by a psychiatrist, a police chief, and a priest - Not by a group of crazies, inmates, and sinners.

Not to be too tough on your students but thy don't have the social development and experience to effectively judge you. Take what you can from the "review", which might only be the mechanics of the missed lesson.

I am not at work today, as you might have noticed. Seems like we're all having a bit of a rough patch, but who better to surround yourself with than Browncoats? Honestly, you people have helped me through a lot, and I am here to help do the same for others.

My opinion - you guys should get as much as or more than we pay stupid "pro" athletes and movie "stars".
