If you could choose one item of clothing from Firefly to add to your wardrobe, what would it be?

To start this thread, I submit I would love to have Jayne's flying goggles. I think they are so cool.

I do like Mal's coat!

The one thing from the show I want is the dining table lamp. I'm going to try to make one!

HELL'S KITTEN

...

Good question.

I was going to answer, but now that I'm actually thinking about it, I can't answer! Too many shiny things from the show. ^^

I'd love to have Badger's hat...
... and Zoe's vest... Mal's coat... Jayne's shirts... Kaylee's coveralls... River's boots... Simon's... er... nothing, really... hmmm... yeah. Too many things.

INEVERMARRIED

Thought about it for a while and there are three items that I would love to have:

1) One of Simon's waistcoats (if I had to pick, the one he wears in the Pilot during his standoff with Dobson. Bring a little sophistication to my wardrobe. )

2) Jayne's orange hand-knitted hat from "The Message". Just to show I ain't afraid of nuthin'.

and 3) Badger's "very fine" hat.

If I had to chose between the three, I would now be sitting in front of my computer wearing Badger's hat. Damn it, I would superglue the frigger to my head and wear it permanently. Not very pratical I know, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

Without hesitation, Zoe's vest. No wait, any piece of Zoe's clothing. Oh, but (or should that be -butt) I want to look like she does in them.

Oh well, How 'bout one of Jayne's t-shirts. At least it would fit.

I think I'd take Jayne's cargo pants. So I could put them on my husband... mmmmmmm.

...but it would still be your husband in them...

Unless you're married to Adam, in which case I would see the point.

I'm thinking something of Nandi or Inara's inspired by saris or other gorgeously embelleshed fabrics. Or maybe Inara's shawl from the pilot.

...though one of Wash's shirts would be fun to have or give to someone.

1) Inara's burnt velvet robe that we see her wearing around the ship. Yeah, Inara gets all the cool outfits.

2) Simon's waistcoat (the gold one)

3) Mal's maroon shirt from the movie

4) Any of Wash's Hawaiian shirts. I like Hawaiian shirts in general and have the hardest time finding them in my size.

I couldn't choose just one either.

Of course number 1 would be Mal's Browncoat-just too cool

Zoe'a vest-I'm tall like her. And it would complete an outfit I'm trying to put together.

Of the props-the table-perfect place to gather the family, be it real or created. But to be perfect it would have to have the lantern on top.

There was a discussion about the table in a chat room on another Firefly/Serenity board and we came into agreement that World Market would be the place to shop if you wanted a reasonable facsmilie and a reasonable price.

You were busy trying to get yourself lit on fire. It happens.

I want the robe that both Inara and River wear in the pilot, or the blue flowery one. Other than that, all the clothes I would want require the actors to come with them.

Try a "server shirt" or a "camp shirt" in Hawaiian pattern. Any size from XS to 7X. Different fabrics/patterns to choose from. http://www.culinaryclassics.com/restaurant-shirts.htm

Thanks for the tip, Flyvote. I'll check the site out. Constance, I think if you get Mal's sweaty, grungy brown coat, you'll probably want to get some Febreeze as well. At the very least, it's going to need a bit of "freshening" if you take my meaning. Speaking of fresh, ain't got nothing against a purty fella like Mal getting all hot, sweaty, and dirty, I just don't want his clothes to be like that. In fact, he would have to lose those garments ....well, never mind.
Re: props, I definitely want some of those dining room chairs with the sunburst pattern on the backs. Too cool for school!

They're good but expensive. I'd really like the orignals and the man that comes in the coat itself!

I found a good brown belt (not the wide one but about 4 inches wide) with the right buckle at of all places... Target. It was on the sale rack for $7.50.
