On the SciFi forums they are discussing what other networks might pick it up. I don't have a link but it seems another good show dies early.

(Sigh) Really tired of this. Just what does it take to stay on the air? With the cancelling of BSG, SG1, and Dresden I really have no clue what shows SciFi is going to air; other than that PainKiller Jane crap. Eureka is OK, Atlantis is on its last season too, judging from the numbers.

Is it possible we need a new Science Fiction Channel?

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

What? No! I barely got to see it! I'm getting through the books now! Why???

Yeah, I think we do need a new Sci-Fi channel. One run by actual sci-fi fans who aren't morons, maybe.

Oh, oh good. Long as they keep it on and release the DVDs, I'll be happy.

Hear that, sci-fi?? I'll give you money!

Pains in chest...heart...

I hope to God this isn't true. I haven't even got a chance to watch the series yet. Chalk up one more reason for me to hate Sci-Fi.

My sister-inlaw is really into Dresden. I made a hand shake agreement with her last Christmas. She'll watch FF if I watch Dresden. Nothing ever really came out of it though. Sounds like it's a good show. I'll check it out when it comes out on dvd.

As for FF I'm waiting on the right moment for it's introduction to them. Soon, very soon....

FYI to all:

The thread Kinetic is referring to over at Skiffy has been deleted.

Long Live the Skiffy Topic Nazis, for this time they done good!

I don't believe Dresden will be cancelled. They are losing their #1 series, SG.
Eureka starts back up in July.
Atlantis is more than 1/2 way through its season.

If anything might get looked at, it's Painkiller Jane.

There is more than one thread about this, The thing is it, isn't definite, but when the executive producer starts throwing around the "C" word, the show is in trouble.

Quote:

"SciFi mostly responds to their own internal marketing studies, several of which they've already done on the show," executive producer Robert Hewitt Wolfe told fans on author Jim Butcher's official Web site. "Their research hasn't said what we've been hoping for, unfortunately."

I never said it was definite. It does appear to be bleak.
