Hey Everybody,

Ever since I started searching for info on Firefly, I haven't seen many appearances of Gina Torres. Is it only my feeling or you guys to have felt the same? I haven't seen her in convention pictures or videos or cast interviews..?

What's up with Zoe, guys?

Well, let's see: she's currently pregnant...so that takes up some time...AND her show, "Standoff" is back on with new eps (watched one last night as a matter of fact) so that probably kept her quite busy as well. Not all the BDH's are con-goers...like not all fans, I'm guessing.

Yep, you may be right that not all the BDH's are con-goers and about pregnancy..she may have busy schedule.. But pregnancy is recent, right? I haven't seen her appear in nearly nowhere during the time right after the cancellation..i.e. 2004..also her interview in Firefly dvd extra is extremely short..no interviews during Serenity promo!..also none in the "Done the Impossible" documentary!..

What she is not a fan?!!!

She just doesn't like cons.

And, I imagine, she's busy with work and family.

She was at the SDCC to help promote Serenity, and I think that was the last appearance that I know of.... She chose not to go to the LA premiere....

Not everyone is going to want to dedicate their life to one thing they did 5 years ago (series) or even 2 years ago (movie). Maybe she's moved on. Whatever the reason, it is her life and her right.

Second. I imagine that not everybody who was on a scifi show years ago really is all that gung ho about keeping the dream alive. Believe it or not, to most people, this was just a show. I'm not downing Gina in any way, but it just might not be her bag. Of course, she's like the queen of scifi/fantasy shows (plus the Matrix), so she's probably pretty secure in her position :)

IMDB is really helpfull. She was Chris Rocks wife in "I think I love my wife" and just completed a movie called "south of pico", which is the name of my moms dog so kinda funny. She and several other BDH's and some of Whedons actors did voice work for Justice League Unlimited, I enjoey the show but also watched to see who's voice I'd recognize. I love Standoff if you havent yet give it a try, while you can.

She hasn't made it to one recently, but she has attened cons and events in the past. The others are quite right in saying she's been busy both professional and personal. Without checking imdb, I know she's had at least a movie a year since Firefly...not to mention her major TV work in Alias, 24, and The Shield.
