The Inside was on TV the other night and in one particular scene Adam Baldwin asked another character what he did on the weekend. The character said he'd taken his wife to the movies and they saw a "space western". To which A.B. kinda chuckled and rolled his eyes. It made me laugh is all.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

Where are you and what channel was it on? I've missed that show terribly.

HISTORY

At the Browncoat Back-Up Bash Dec 2006, Tim Minnear graciously showed up and played a short video collage called "Some Stuff" in which the scene you describe was included.
Here it is, the scene you refer to begins at ~7 minutes:

If you wish to see "Some Stuff" without the fan interaction (better quality) at 4:35

Was a great scene. "Sounds great." Sadly, that episode was never aired here in the states. Where were you lucky enough to have it aired?

Yeah, the question is "What Channel?" Thanks to torrents I've seen them all, but the episode you mention never aired in the States as far as I know.

America loves a winner!

I had missed 'Some Stuff' some how, but thanks for posting. DAMN funny. Loved at the end, how it seguays from Wonderfalls to The Inside " eeww " and then finally to Firefly.

Fans of Bones will know for sure, but I think there was more than 1 reference to Firefly and/ or Angel in that show as well. I just love how those folks keep us on our toes while paying homage to other great works.

People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

I loved the scene in BONES where (god, can't remember character names) the bearded one mentioned that the younger one watched FIREFLY reruns while he was playing with a toy robot. Can't remember the whole thing but I think it was the first years Xmas episode because they were all trapped in the lab and Booth ended up giving the robot to his son because he missed Xmas.

There were 13 episodes of The Inside. That scene is in episode 13. they only showed about 6 episodes here.

Also, the line from Bones:
Hodgins: (laughs) Your robot reminds me of you. You tell it to turn it stops. You tell it to stop it turns. You ask it to take out the garbage it watches reruns of Firefly.

Sure you're not thinking of Daybreak? Or is The Inside yet another show that had its final episodes aired online?

I only ever saw 7 eps.

There are similarities. But as far as I know, The Inside never had it's remaining episodes aired online, though one could aquire them there.
