ODDSBODSKINS

I looked at it out of curiosity, but with no understanding of the product or the context, there's not a hell of a lot I can helpfully say.

They may think their sins are original, but for the most part they are petty and repetitive.

PHOENIXROSE

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

I wouldn't buy it, but I know there are people out there putting together Alliance costumes, and they'll probably like it. I think that silver-gray might be a better choice than gold, though. Alliance colors aren't very warm as a general rule.

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
A troll's hair is still pointy, even when it's wearing a hat.

FIREFLYPASSENGER

Exactly.

It leaves one kinda speechless. I would not buy one. I don't know who the target market is.

I like everything except the bird, not sure where that would fit in, if you're looking for something that's outside the borders to to speak, have you considered a ring around the lower edge surrounding the planets?

all very good answeres. Thanks for the help.
To help people Identify:

this is the patch Wash wears:

This is the patch that alliance non-comm officers were in the movie:

This is our patch that we have:
[img][/img]

you see, the logo never changes. the alliance issues it's logo patch to anyone who has some form of Alliance training.
Color denotes your the skills you learned in training.
Wash's patch tells any Alliance personal, and anyone who knows (Mal, Zoe), that Wash has been through flight school and is trained to fly ALL standard Alliance used ships and transports.
The Non-Comm patch is worne by the flight officers and bridge crew of the Opritive's Alliance ship (you can actually see the patch in the movie).
Our patch patch is an attempt to offer another classifacation. Our patch is worn by reapir workers & civil servants (janitors, garbagemen, offical alliance post officers).
our mythos is:
many children in the core worlds get civil servant jobs. You can join at 15+ and you get Alliance training (non military). You can either stay with your civil servant job or go on to other areas. Having a civil job first though, helps you get into other Alliance positions. Most poepl just take the training and get jobs elsewhere.
it's also a great way to sneak into any place. Most Alliance personal don't even LOOK at civil servants until they need something. Civil servants are considered the lowest rung in the Alliance machine.

Thanks for reading this. Please give me some more feedback, and leave whatever comments you might think are helpful.

(p.s. I know these patches are based off of a real world patch, but I can't remember what patch. I think it's the Challenger patch, but I truthfuly don't know)

MIMA

my very first and more certain second thought was that the planets need to be more differentiated. then i read down the post and saw wash's patch and said "exactly."

my suggestion is to make the planets very different blues. then you could keep your color scheme, but the swirls wouldn't blend as much.

so replace the yellow and green with a lighter blue, and keep the mythos.

But what to do whith this patch???

WAIT!!!
How about calling this patch the 'Alliance Sciance Corp.: Terraform Division' patch.

Mythos:
this patch is worne by members of the sicentific community who sign up to work on the terraforming of new planets.
The program is much like "Doctors Without Borders" but provides technical assistance to outerwoulds and helps maintain terraforming equipment.
Note: the ASC:TD had suggested that the terraforming equipment was interacting with the mining debris on one of the planets, but higher Alliance officals decided to take a "wait and see" approch
