We hit the Mandate a while ago, but no one seemed to notice. I figure it's a new week, so here is a new thread.

As some people are still reading the 7th book, we will have no spoilers here, unless you use the [ spoiler ] and [ /spoiler ] tags. There is another thread in which you can talk about the book unhindered, but for the sake of your fellow bar patrons, keep them hidden here, or else I'll run you through with Gryffindor's sword.

Old thread here:

NEKO! *pouncetacklehugglesqueezesnuggle* Good to see a post or two from you, darlin'. We miss you.

Emma - you poor thing ... we're all back now

mornin' Gee, Penguin, Magda (though you're probably asleep already) and anyone else who's around.

No spoilers in here, and I will edit the title and main post to reflect that.

I always thought butterbeers were very mildly alcoholic drinks, though the name makes me think of butterscotch.

*gets Penguin a butterbeer and heads off to edit the posts*

Emma, I'll have to remember to come back and check out your pics, especially the "pants inspired" one, when I get home.

Oh well, since you were nice enough to add the cherry!

RIMG- how is Ami doing? poor thing I feel so bad for her. It hurt so much to have my back out for a few days and with a baby moving and kicking that must be awful

Emma - I thought I typed this earlier, but apparently not ... I'll be in my bunk. Though I am a tad confused as to the angle of the shot.

MsG - she is still the same, and likely will be until Emma Grace is born, August 17th. They can't do the MRI needed to figure out what is wrong with her back until after she has the baby.

Rose - I saw your bullitin on MySpace, when I get some more money I will see what I can do to help more with the laptop project. Also, income from 7-11 is better than no income at all.

Don't be sorry and don't be cynical. A touch jaded maybe, but not cynical...

Now is the absolute worst time to try to make any kind of positive "life move". (So I am still very, very glad you are still planning on going to school. (you are still planning on going to school, right?).) The economy sucks everywhere. I'm watching my state stage an exodus that hasn't occured since we all invaded Houston two decades ago, and they still don't like us down there. Monies seem to be be shriveling up. In the face of that, we must still be strong and conquer and all that stuff.

Sure Seven-11 (*urk*) is just not right. Fundamentally, I mean. There something just not right about it. But that aside, I have found that I can weather almost any storm as long as I am armed with the knowledge that it won't be forever. Two years (at the old job) was a long time for someone as young as you. It's even quite a while for someone as old as me.

But just hang on to the thought: I am not the Clerk. I am Rose. I clerk to make money, but everything else I do is who I am. And when you are clerking remember you are not just a clerk. You are Rose-clerk, the Shiny. Pissy days and customers will come and go. They don't make you who you are. You do that. It's a private little hell that is being required of you for a little while for some reason. "You can chain me, you can torture me, you can even destroy this body, but you will never imprison my mind." -- Mohandas Gandhi. Don't let go, don't give up. You've got more Bawls than anyone I ever met.

I won't say I hope you get the job (it's 7/11 for cryin' out loud), but I do hope you get something soon. Anything. Just for a little while. Keep yourself afloat. The day will come when you will be the one chosing the employer.

So when I was looking, I came across a few ways to make money online...all you need is an active paypal account, which I think you have mentioned you have.

Sign up for ejury.com. They send you (depending on your geographical area) a mock jury survey to complete on cases that may or may not come to trial in your area. You answer, send it back, and can make up to $40 per survey. Not bad for 1 hour's work.
Also, I saw payperpost.com, which I immediately thought of for your macros. Apparently, you get a website and depending on your content, and how many hits you generate a week, you get sponsorship for your site.

Have you checked craigslist.com for your area? I found all 3 jobs that I was significantly interested in / they were interested in me under "admin/clerical" in craigslist...they had lots of PT stuff in my area...I would think it would be the same for you.

*hug*

And by the way...

Happy Birthday FMF!!!

I looked at that when you sent me the email about it. It's basically writing blogs about products. Advertising, in other words, and they pay you for hits. It can't be just anything, likely can't be cat macros, and certainly can't run off photobucket.
I have been thinking, though, that I should make a site like icanhascheesburger at some point and see if I can get paid that way. I do plan to get a web design certificate in school, so building a little site to see if I can cash in on my macros and pay some tuition seems like a good idea.

I saw the blogging bit, but I found an area on their website which seemed to have to do with getting sponsorship for your site. As in, the more hits your site gets, the more you (personally) get paid.

All the rubs I've have have been topless. They just won't do it unless you have your shirt off...

You know what the first rule of flyin' is? Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of worlds. And love keeps her in the air when she oughtta fall down… tells ya she's hurtin' 'fore she keels… makes her a home.

*hugs Rose-doll* Sucks on the scam job openings, those do all sound a bit shady. You know my suggestion when it comes to the matter, and I'll leave it at that. Well, how about another *hug* for good measure.

*pouncetacklehuggles Mavs* Good to see you on here doll, I hope that things are still going well. :)

Happy Birthday FMF !!!!!

EDIT: Almost forgot, I added a little something to the signature, hope you don't mind Rose.

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

No, of course I don't mind! It's wonderful!

I'm working on a graphic for it now...

On that note, I am headed home. I may be about a little bit, though I am going to try to get some things done with various beers and such I have going right now. If I don't talk to you tonight, I'll see y'all tomorrow!

Sometimes there's nothing like showing your pants to the world to bring out th beast in men.

Now, don't let this get around as I have Re-pu-ta-tion. And especially don't let the Hippie Girl know, because she has a secret crush on me and is very jealous. And, um, what am I forgetting...? Oh yes, I'm married. But you know in one of them alternate universes...

GEE

hey guys,

so how you all doing? Been enjoying a lazy day for once, watched kill bill vols 1 & 2, got about 400-500 words done and about to attack some more. Beggining to panic about getting the walls sorted in the kitchen but I'm sure I'll figure out plastering at some point!

So, good to see you Mavs, hope things pick up PR and I must remember some of JQ's advice when I got back to work next week, hope the beer is doing good Jimi (man I miss beer!), I shall refrain from making comments about Emmas pants as it appears we could run into each other one day and I'm fairly certain I'd crack a bad joke about not being used to seeing you with your clothes on.

I'm gonna grab a cup of tea, take my facourite (and only!) fountain pen outside and write in our enchanted beer garden. Might light a little fire too or possibly just stare at the stars.

No...beer? Again I must have missed something in the threads.

For refraining to comment, you were still able to get Emma's pants, crack, not seeing her with clothes on and running into her all in the same sentence. Not bad.

Now as to the fountain pen. How cool is that. I fear them because they can blotch and because I am left-handed. But they are awesome. I loved selling them when I worked in the office supply store. Nigh half a lifetime ago. Wow.
