Is there going to be a UK release of the Serenity Collectors Edition? It's not listed on Amazon, and I couldn't find any details, and I was hoping to not have to import..... Anybody know?

No plans at all from what I can see.
I've done some extensive searching throughout the interweb and come up empty.

If you can play R1 discs why wouldn't you want to import?? It'll be cheaper and you won't have to wait until they eventually do decide to release it.
Of course if you can't play the R1 then you are kinda humped.

Mine is on it's way. Can't wait!!!

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

Since the UK already got most of the bonus goodies before we did, and the collectable tin packaging, and better cover art to begin with... Why do you need this one? Far as I'm concerned, the Collector's Edition is what it should have been to begin with, and makes up for the movie having lame packaging and not having all the extras in the country of its origin. By all means, buy a copy if you must (boost those sales!) but you don't really need one.

Rose, Rose, Rose. The extra cast commentaries on there own are worth the hassle of getting it shipped over from the US. It's not that I need another version over here on the little island, it's that I have some rather disturbing fellows with blue gloves standing behind me forcing me to get the BDCE, (or that's at least what I tell Mrs CC)

I want it UK for a couple of reasons:

1. My current DVD player isn't multi-region, so I have to plug in my laptop to the TV

2. My current copy of Serenity is the Australian edition - a UK edition would be nice ;)

3. I like the new cover ;)

4. I want to support this version in the vain hope of getting Universal to commission the next 2 movies.

5. I want to get all the extras (esp the cast commentary) that don't appear in my copy (I know it's not much, but it's enough)

.........................

I've ordered mine from Amazon. You can use the same log in that you use for AmazonUK if you're already signed up.

OK - there are now a couple of shops selling via Amazon's marketplace to get the CE edition.

I also saw it on eBay, FWIW.
