I'm watching Chuck right now. I got it free with Amazon Unboxed and TiVo. The show is aliilte bit funny and very interenting. Worth checking out. They also have "Bionic Woman" and "Life" all for free.

Edit: I just saw Bionic Woman and it was awesome. Chuck was good. I can't wait to see more.

Didn't the WB (or was it UPN?) already make Chuck? It was called Jake 2.0.

And Journeyman sounds very similar to Quantum Leap. Oh, and Bionic Woman sounds a lot like, well, yeah, Bionic Woman.

So, NBC has 4 new shows and 3 of them have already been done? Yet Firely doesn't stay on the air. I hate TV.

I watched a little trailer for chuck and it looked pretty hilarious. I'm adding it to my record list. Plus it has a hottie and Adam Baldwin. Where could it go wrong?

I thought the same thing. I loved Jake 2.0. However after seeing the pilot I know Chuck is a whole other ball game there is no comparison.

Chuck is funnier and just unlike anything I have seen including Jake 2.0.

I just watched Journeyman (on TiVo for free) and I think it is the new show to watch this Fall. It was nothing like I thought. I thought it looked ok but the preview does not do that show justice. If you can see it I suggest that you do. (I wrote this earlier in its own post but no one noticed it.)

I watched the first 10 minutes of Chuck and was completely unimpressed. I guess I'll have to try the whole thing.

I was equally unimpressed with the Bionic Woman; I watched the entire ep last night. I was happy I only lost 43 minutes of my life rather than 60. Amazon had some very positive fan reviews, and, after watching, all I could think was haven't these people ever seen Buffy or Angel or Firefly?

America loves a winner!

Wow... you watched 10 whole minutes? In a row ?? And it didn't completely and totally suck you in, you say ?

Huh.

Guess it's not worth watching then.

People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

No it didn't. I didn't have time to watch more of it, although I may give the remained a look. All I can say is that I watched the first 10 minutes of both Chuck and Bionic Woman to get a flavor for them, and I didn't like what I saw. Maybe it will fit you better.

I just finished watching Chuck, got it through TiVo - Amazon Unbox as well, and it was much better than I expected! A lot of cable providers are offering the pilot for download through their own video on demand service, so check it out. It's free to download and there are no commerials.

Just watched Journeyman as well and that was really good too. Bionic Woman is up next!

I highly recommend it.

Chuck is an action comedy and I really liked that. Also I wasn't expecting to like it. My expectations were low. I was going to watch only for Adam. Now I would watch this show even without Adam.

A bit of a thread hijack here but may I just say how good it is to see so many 3- and 4-digit FireflyFans.net members still involved in the site?

Just wondering, what do you mean by 3 and 4 digit member.

I've seen numbers given but don't know where the counter is. I checked my profile and I don't see anything.

Mouse over the user name and you'll see the profile number. You're member #2151 - a 4-digit, and thus early, member. We are now in at least the 28,000s for the very newest folk.

Thank you. For some reason it doesn't work for me. I am on Mozilla Firefox. Do you think that might be why?

No, cuz I'm on Firefox too. The mouse-over text appears down at the bottom of your screen.

I was so happy for river and summer and gina that their tv shows are on this season.

one tiny niggle of a sigh though, was for seeing adam in yet another muscle role. he's so much better than that. great to see him shined up in a suit.

Ha! Did you see him in that green "Buy More" shirt?

I've been able to watch Chuck, Bionic Woman, Reaper, Journeyman, Cavemen, Sarah Conner Chronicles, Pushing Daisies and a couple more I forget at the moment.

Out of all of them, I enjoyed the Sarah Conner Chronicles the most, because I love the Terminator stuff, but Chuck was actually very entertaining, IMHO. I'd recommend it.

I love time-travel stories, but something didn't really click for me with the Journeyman show. Because it is time-travel, I'll probably watch it just to see where it goes...

Reaper was funny, I think it will be a big hit for the CW. I'm just not sure how far they can take the concept and keep it fresh, but we'll see.

Pushing Daisies was ok, but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it again.
