Fly here again,
I don't mean to sound like a complete "passenger" but what can I do now that I'm here. I hate that I wasn't there to champion the series after it went the way of the "hanging" chandiliers.
But what is there for me to take part in.
And I would love to get together with other fans and discuss what I am sure for you all is old tales of time dearly missed.

What can you do?

Recruit.

Show Firefly to your friends. Give the box set as gifts. Buy copies of the Collector's Edition of the movie and donate them to your local library.

We've been holding the line since 2002. Glad to have you aboard.

Frankiefly...welcome. I understand the need for action...to do SOMETHING...some have donated Firefly and Serenity to local libraries to spread the word...others write fiction based inthe 'verse. Don't know if this helps you...but I vote once an hour for Firefly as the best tv show ever on the vote thread..(probably doesn't mean a thing but makes me feel better...)..I joined the 76th Independent Army Battalion and marched in costume at Dragon Con...Several of us who live close to each other are planning on attending other conventions to spread the word, and the love of the show. I've purchased several copies of the collector's edition and plan to buy several more for holiday gifts...Joss Whedon left a miniscule hope that any future films depend on the sale of the collectors' edition. That's about all we can do but over on the 76th board we've got lots of talented folk coming up with new designs and ideas everyday. Hope that helps, hope you'll join us.

Other things:

Check around for any local Browncoat groups. Those that exist typically have regular or semi-regular get togethers.

Also, see if where you live has been participating in the annual charity screenings of Serenity.

If so, offer to volunteer for next year. If not, see if there are enough local fans for you to get together and add your city to the list.

I recommend connecting with Browncoats anyway you can, go to a con, a meetup, a shindig, find a local group near you.
