In late Saturday night workin' on payroll and it has been a strange day. Guess who just texted me five minutes ago from their out of state phone?

She Who SHould Be Forgotten.

Strange that she kept my number. Stalker?

Double and triple YIKES! (Okay, I thought I was going to be the only moonbrain doing prep work for the new week. Guess not. Sorry NVG.)

My vote: If you decide to get in touch with "She," you might want to let her (nicely, just this once) to lose your number. After that, d'you want some of the browncoat women "clarifying" things for "she"? I'm willing to provide a KLOO for her.

*hugs*

I got somethin' to put upside her head so put the KLOO(TM) away.

Really. How I am lately if'n she wants to jump on it, fine. Other than that I really don't want much else to do with her.

Does that sound bad?

Good!

SO yeah. Since I ain't sleeping it is just easier to do something constructive. Mindy's soon to be ex-husband is down visiting with his son and everything seemed to be allright while I was there but things can change on a whim.

Aww...take away some of my "fun" (I was only going to use the pylon version! *mock pout*)

Of course it doesn't sound bad...It sounds normal after all the jerking around.

Ah...sleeplessness...And you're also on "emergency enforcement" duty? *fingers crossed that no enforcement is needed*

Aww hell woman. Feel free to Kloo away. Seems she kept my number after moving to another state for one reason or another. We were friends but yeesh, what more does a person expect from someone they never gave a fair enough shake.

Enforcement, hmmm. Seems I really ain't worried. She's strangely enough checking in through text messages. I guess everything is gonna be okay.

Here I go. Out for the night. Happy to see ya about hon. Seems the Thread might sleep but some of it's patrons have trouble doing so. I'm off to see if I can get some rest.

Goodnight hugs!

Hey y'all, just wanted to check in and let you all know that I'm doing ok. One of the fires in southern California got within about a mile of my house last night. We packed an emergency evacuation bag and set it out by the door, and packed another bag of keepsakes we would want to take if we had a few more minutes to evacuate. Obviously didn't sleep real well last night.

The fire is burning to the east of us, and communities to the north and south of us were evacuated last night, but they say they have the fire partially contained now, along a road that runs north-south about a mile and a half east of us. The winds aren't suppose to let up until Wednesday, so we're not unpacking our evac bags quite yet. Until then I'm stuck inside with the doors and windows closed, to try to avoid all the smoke in the air. :P

I'll try to login again to at least update you guys when we get the all clear (probably not until Wednesday or Thursday). Keep your fingers crossed for the hubby and I.

All the best CK. I've a good friend in that area too, and she just informed me by email about the situation. Sounds pretty intense and I hope the winds shift and the fire crews can get back to fighting fires instead of evacuating people.

"She" needs to jump on it and get the hell on. I don't know why one person would hold on to someone they never were with for so long. I get her out of my head, delete her contacts, forget that anything ever and never transpired between us and she sporatically jumps out to say Hi.

Actually it was one of those messages you forward to a friend. "Faith determines who walks into your life. You decide who stays and who walks out. Send this to a friend you never want to lose. I just did." What kinda BS is that. She moved to Denver, messaged me from a different phone number that I researched (that is how I found out it was Denver), keeps my number for whatever reason, and messages probably because she is lonely or home sick or got stood up or whatever her moon brained ass can come up with.

Why Gawd why am I stuck with all these daffy moon brained b!^%*^@ that keep F-ing with me? Why can't a whole and true woman just save my dumb ass already?!?!

Screw it. I'll just immerse myself with work. Money don't buy happiness but it sure helps buy things that make me happy even if for a short while.

Hey guys. Spent another night with the emergency grab-as-we-run-out-the-door-in-our-pajamas evacuation bag packed, but so far so good. It shifted east of us last night apparently, but we still have evacuations directly north, south, and east of us, with the wind still blowing more or less west. This picture was taken by someone on the other side of town -- my house is on the far left, in that line of lights near the green arrow.

Not nearly as bad as the San Diego fires (hubby and I have several friends down there, and all we've heard is that they had to evacuate in the middle of the night), but it's been scary. We actually can't see the fire as well as others can, since we're right at the base of the hills. Lots of soot in the air, leaving footprints on the porch and the floor near all the doors is gritty. The winds are suppose to start tapering off this afternoon, but it may hit 100 degrees here today, and we're advised to keep our windows closed and our AC off.

Other than being worried about the fire, all is well here with me. No flare health-wise that I can see -- it's never been an immediate stress trigger anyway, sometimes months after stress, but not immediate. And in theory, warm weather is a good thing for me.

Anyhow, not out of the woods yet, but the news advised that we contact loved ones and "advise them of our well-being", so I thought I would check in.

So does anybody else just have crazy as heck dreams a lot?

Last night I bought a house and had a home owners association bugging me about this patch of lawn that wouldn't grow any grass. So, they told me I could just put something over it like a shed. So, it was from then on out a comedy of errors as I tried to build a shed with no clue what I was doing. I just got like some big stone slabs and tried to prop them up against each other. I didn't measure anything. So, the doors on the front didn't actually meet up so it was pretty much always open. By the end the whole thing just collapsed anyway.

So, yeah I have some crazy dreams. I'm not even going into sunday night's dream. That one was too insane to type up.

Edit: CK, your house is that close to the fires and you're not being evacuated? Yikes.

I've got two, possibly three in the works (parties that is) with different sets of people (in other words, no one will know that I'm wearing the same thing to each party), so I figure that means I can spend more than I normally would and just get one really nice dress instead of three 'eh...it-was-on-the-sale-rack-and-fits-the-bill' dresses. Trouble is, I can't find anything. I want something in dark grey (slate, graphite...whatever you want to call it...it's the color I feel sexiest in) or navy. apparently that's a tall order.

Reserve me your gentle surrender. That has been in my head since about 3:30 this morning. Crappy sleep again but Mindy texted me at 3:30 to see if I was still up. Half sleeping sucks. We went to a local casino and made twenty bucks last two hours between us. After we went to her place and ate cereal before I went home. So the dream I was having involved a primative tribe in the far reaches of the world keeping a piece of meteorite safe until someone important claimed it. It was probably because of the fantastic falling star I saw almost touch ground on my way home earlier in the evening. So yeah Zeek, strangeness in sleep. The "Gentle surrender" thing is some song echoing in my head as I woke to the text.

Good morning everyone!

MsG: Hugs. Don’t worry only a few more days of kids and then you have your mini vacation. Just keep fantasizing about them playing with a live electrical wire in the pool.

Something to Ponder: Are there any games you miss playing/feel nostalgic for at times?

Myself, I'm totaly weening myself off of Warcraft, and remembering how much fun I had playing M:TG with the wife and friends, or Call of Cthulhu rpg. Just don't know in this busy life of the older adult if I have time for such things (or in the case of M:TG, the money...)

Um...haven't remembered many dreams lately. Sadly, the last one on Saturday night, I think, was a good one and was full of hope and promise (basically a great first date dream with a particular someone with some odd elements thrown in for dreaming's sake) which was sort of dashed to bits on Monday, but oh well. Such is life. Life has taught me better than to hope for much. I sort of set myself up.

and on that morose note...

No no...can't wait. Already tried that (the way I tell if I REALLY want something is wait and if I'm still thinking about it weeks later, then the answer is yes). Sadly, the dress didn't wait for me and is no longer available in my size in the color I want.

HUGS NV...

Rugbug...try layers.com

Neko- it was 4 sentences so not really a masterpiece, but the main thing was the interruptions. I'm just hoping the email was coherent.

Tried it, but it looks like a portal? There was stuff about carpentry, photoshop, etc... Did I do something wrong?

RUGBUG

Thanks msg. I did find one I liked on edress...but it is more than I want to spend. :D

Okay...I think I found a dress at bluefly. It will all depend on a few things (like the specific color) but it's on its way. What'dya think?

I really like it, I just hope it likes me as much.

ZEEK

Looks purdy.

Sometimes it's good being a man though. I wouldn't have the first clue about what makes one dress bargain rack material and what's the top of the line stuff. Guy's it's easy. *grunt* *get measured* *point at suit* done.

whoo Rugbug that will look fantastic on you. It's a good cut for your shape and it'll look good with your coloring. Just remember to practice handling being hit on..because you will be.

Also Zeek...you have grooming easier. No make up, only have to shave your faces, far fewer products and less time to get ready.
