Sounds fun, in a twisted way.

And about Heroes:

I don't think it's moving slow, there are just too many story lines and not enough time. Well, Peter's arc is a little slow, but I am loving Kristen Bell. She's so good at being evil.

I agree with what Zero said about Heroes Jimi. I think I felt the way you did for part of season one but it gets better.

MsG, I so love the way you think. Such a beautiful mind!

I am trying to get to Heroes, Netflix has season 1 on Watch Instantly, but the only time I have to watch is putting 7 month old to sleep, and by that time of the day, my brain is only capable of watching(or rather staring at) Conan, or even worse, Poker After Dark. So, no spoilers! Or hints. Or tauntings!

That's just the youngest. Oldest is almost 12, a boy, and a 7 year old girl, and a 2 year old boy, so yes, we managed to space the kids out JUST right so that they all hit difficult times together!! If they weren't so cute they'd be dead!

HUGS Whimsy... ok all better now:) See I told you I could only be grouchy for a short while..then back to annoyingly cheerful:)

Gorram you sound like my friend. She's got a 15 year old, 12, 10, 6, and 3 I spend every Thursday watching her kids so she can get out of that madhouse:) HUGS and hope you survive

Ok had a laugh today. In my science class, one of our biggest gangbangers needed help. So I go help him and he says " you smell really nice...um..not that I was sniffing you...I mean..I was just smelling and you smell good..um" at this point the kid's bright red and about ready to dig a hole and bury himself. It was hilarious and cute. ( ok I should specify by biggest I mean in the gang and size wise he's about 6'4" and 230 pounds)

Oh don't feel TOO bad for me. I'm the dad btw, and my beautiful and talented wife is the "lucky" one who stays home with them. That's why she will never post here, she's too busy chasing my maniac 2 year old around. If i didn't have a nice cushy job with plenty of time to peruse the forum, I wouldn't be here either!

EDIT: And anytime anyone wants to feed me chocolate, I'll take it!

(Edit: observation happend at 9:00...see how long it takes me to even get to the point where I can post it? *sighs*)
Just had a full-blown observation with admin (principal, vp, one of the off-ratio teachers), and district (don't recognize the district person), plus the district superintendent. While I'm working with the students on getting their lab reports done. 'Scuse me while I go bury myself. (I'm in an "inherited" room, so much of the stuff on the walls isn't mine...)
Thankfully, the kids decided that they were going to be nice and on the well behaved side of things...but GYAH!

*sigh* Oh well, day's already been interesting...can't expect much worse than that. Add: Fortunately, I was right. Yay for small kindnesses.

Popping in

I'll take some of that non-alcohol chocolate, thank you!

I've never quite understood the phrase "it's like nailing jello to a tree" because all you'd have to do is form a bowl of sorts with the nails sticking out and then glop the jello on top, right? I've never tried this out myself, but it should work.

Sorry for rambling with no point whatsoever.

I think getting to bed earlier will be the inevitable consequence, yes.

Was a very helpful tutorial. Seems simple enough
Math rules have never been the problem, it's the calculations. So here's hoping it continues to seem simple once I have to use it.

HUGS Rose...oh you will do fine. You're really smart so just go slow and remember right is better than fast ok:) You'll be great now go knock em dead!! Also, you get used to the early mornings and the sense that your life is over

Neko- eeeeeeeeeeeew the big one. Those suck in so many ways. You ok? HUGS and large buckets of chocolate and other things. Good that the kids behaved and even if the walls were sucky at least they weren't bare right? Just repeat to yourself " it's not like they can get someone else to do this for what I make" and " I am a good teacher, they are just people in suits"

HUGS Vex how are you sweety? Sounds like you're having a good time:) Did you get a deep dish pizza while in Chicago??

Gorram hey dads do tons of work too!!! So none of that mister.

Ok diet coke...whimper ... no sleep...kids have reached the " it's over and nothing I do counts anyway stage"

*hugs RIMG*

MsG: *meh* That was probably the most "interesting" part of the day...'cept for the afternoon where I had one meeting followed by a double-booked meeting set (the double booking was for two different students). As for the room looking lame, fortunately (or not) I had clay model cells out (that my students had made) that I hadn't moved from the front of the room that they were looking at...
What can they do? Fire me? Not likely...I'm not doing anything that I could be fired for. Just don't like being suddenly invaded (and with about 6 adults walking in, it felt like an invasion).

Math can be tough, but I've learned to do the problems step-by-step -- record every step you do on paper, even if it's as simple as adding 1+1 for that particular step. I encourage my students to do that too...

*waves to MrG*

It's going to be a busy day...lots and lots of papers coming in today (yikes!) Might see you all later.

i used to love math, had a teacher who made it fun and interesting. I even called her mom once! Then I got a teacher for Geometry, who was only interested in coaching football(no offense but there is way more to high school than sports) and he KILLED math for me. I have had a mental block ever since then. I hate math. I can't do math. He shot down EVERY one of my proofs, and never bothered to tell me why, and the answers he said were correct made no sense to me.

So math eh? Meh, I used to excel at it (in 9th grade I ever discovered a short cut to a mathmatical forumla that cut out 3 of the 5 steps), but around 8th grade I discovered what Jimi was holding cards of in a certain picture and my interest in becoming a math genius kind of slowly wavered and faded. :)

I wish I'd stuck at it a bit more, sometimes I just can't get the old math abilities to click like they used to, and it's not just my age!

I like the idea of the blueprints and Mals papers, but I might get to lookin' for some framed art prints too. I have a print from a fellow Native artist I did some trading with. I'll have to take a oic as it is a very interesting little print. I might find a Demotivator for the techs just to keep the edge up. The office itself has a tall ceiling (over ten feet) so some hanging plants might be a good idea. Maybe a small hanging garden?

Seems I need to run away. I want to have drinks in a far away place with people I don't know. Can I open an actual Browncoat Bar and Grill IRL already?

I couldn't do Vegas. Too expensive, mainstream, and crowded. I'd want something cozy folks would feel comfortable travelling to for miles aound. No drama, no whining, no fighting. There are fines for that sorta thing in the bar. Reno might be able to accomodate the bar and grill. I think the bar might even host invitational events. Scenario paintball games, machine gun shoots, three gun matches, casual and formal shindigs, guided ghost town and old west tours, bike runs, etc, etc. Might be on the something here...

I think I'll take a week or two off, then start looking for a new job, I really could use some relaxation.

I've also thought of applying to culinary school again.
