I am only going this Saturday.

Alan is filming in NY a pilot, not sure if he notified Creation yet. I am hoping that Nathan gets moved to Saturday so that Morena is not alone on Saturday.

I'm packing right now. I've gone to a few Creation events, and there usually a lot of fun. Over time I've learned the best way to go is to get the gold package, guranteed autographs, close to the stage, meet and greets. If you think of it finantially, you can sell off the autographs alone to recoup the money. I fly down tomorrow, in time to see Gogol Bordello. Ill be posting news and images.

Wrong convention company. Booster went bankrupt. Creation has been around for about 30 years and shows no signs of stopping.

The California Browncoats will have a table at this convention. We'll also be helping to run a trivia contest each day. And on Sunday at 1:10 we'll have a panel. It will be Adam, Lynn and myself. We will talk about the CA group, the local groups and how you can get involved, and about B3. If you're going we'd love to see you at the panel and the table.

What controversy?

------------------------------------------
RPG launcher bought in third world country illegally - $10
Landmines - $50 per
Attack/track dogs bred 1st class - $250-500 per
Highpowered assault rifles - $600 per
The look on your face when I show up on your doorstep with a bigfoot - ... Priceless

There's been some controversy discussed because the Cruise was announced, then the Starfury con was announced very close to the Cruise ( which seemed to try to take attendees away from the Cruise ) and then the Creation folks announced their con the weekend before the Starfury one.

I think there is some feeling as well that Creation ( being a great big long time con machine ) may run fan con endeavors over. I have read on boards ( although I have no first hand knowledge of this ) that they come in, line up guests with their money and make it awfully hard to compete with them. Thus perhaps capturing the market as it were.

The fact is it's exciting to have 3 events that are tailored to Browncoats.
Now if they were just farther apart thruout the year, it'd make for bigger attendance and less competition and more good feelings. IMHO.

I'm going I'm going! This will be my first ever Firefly/Serenity convention (mostly have been going to Trek ones so far) so I am quite excited to see the BDHs in person. I've seen Nathan in at the Wonder Con in SF this April but didn't have a chance to get his autograph. If only I could afford to go to the Starfury con also, I would have, if only to see Adam Baldwin.

Gee, I've never been in trouble with the law before.
