license question - did universal renew or did it expire?

That's pretty much my question. As I remember it, Universals license agreement for Serenity expired sometime around release of the CE. Did they renew or is F*x the sole holder right now?

i thik they may still have a licenece to kill (the franchise) but we've never really been told.

My understanding is that Universal owns the rights to Serenity indefinitely. There's been some speculation that they had contracts with all the BDHs for sequels, and those may have expired this past September. But I don't think their rights to Serenity will ever go away.
