...absurdly touched by Harry & Ginny naming one of their sons after Snape at the end of the last Potter book? If I knew nothing else (and I often don't), I knew that Snape would turn out to be one of the good guys...for a given value of "good"...

It was all hankies and mea culpas when we got here!

Very touched... and when watching Harry Potter 5 this weekend I was struck again at how hard it must have been for Snape to do Occlumency with Harry...

Yeah - to have worked as a double agent for all those years in a VERY dangerous post, with apparently no one but Dumbledore to thank him for it...that's a hell of a gig.

I expect to be having small clickings-into-place and re-realizations about the whole epic for the next year, during which at some point I will start all over again (again) with Book I...

I was worried in places right up to the last few pages of Hallows...but the whole deal turned out more satisfactorily than I was prepared for it to.

It was like that when we got here!
