Good luck and thoughts on house selling thoughts for MSB

THank you BTW. I am alright. Just upset. My friends do the Billards thing every week and the week I can make it they decide taht a LAN Party would be fun...

Yeah just what I wann do is sit around a guy's house and play PC games with a bunch of guys.......... Kinda pisses me off. Even when I said "hey, I was gonna go. Lets shoot some pool." They said "Well we were gonna play WOW" WTF.... no WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!?

Ass-holes!

Although I am still picturing HK with her dukes up wanting to punch some one in the mouth for me and it makes me giggle (and is teh joy cuz a friend wants to protect)!

Thank you Mistress!

The Darkness bids you put your feet up and have your favorite indulgence, possibly while engaging in a guilty pleasure.

(See? Life's more fun in the dark!)

I have succeeded in my mad experiment! BWAHAHAHAH!!!

Lemon Surprise Pie! (The surprise is it's mostly tofu.)

Don't make that face, my 8 year old thought it was quite tasty too. There is a trace of a bitter finish owing to the lemon peel (based on Shaker Lemon Pie, therefore entire lemons are used), but for working without a net it's not a bad first try.

One of my coworkers was asking about tofu, and I asserted that you could make *anything* with tofu. She came back with "Pie?", and I said without a doubt yes. (oopsie)
Well put up or shut up was invoked, so she picked lemon for the flavor.
Even the die hard health food eaters were looking at me like I'd lost what was left of my mind.

I will now prove once and for all "Dammit, that bitch can cook!".

(Did I mention highly experimental cuisine is a sort of hobby, and I tend to use my friends and family as captive guinea pigs?)

Such a pretty girl!

MsB: Here goes as close to a recipe as I'm liable to get.

2 lemons, sliced paper thin
2C sugar
3Tbsp ginger syrup (see blog for explanifyin')
2 12.3oz packages of silken tofu
2 eggs
3Tbsp flour
3 prepackaged 9" graham cracker crusts (or 2 9" and 6 mini-crusts)

Combine lemons (no seeds), sugar, and syrup in a bowl. Macerate at least 3 hours.
In blender combine eggs and tofu, whirring until smooth and liquidy. Dump the lemon mix in and whirl some more until smooth except for tiny bits of lemon peel. Add flour and repeat.
Pour to pans. Bake at 350F until mostly set and getting golden. (Mini pies may burn on bottom, use care and discretion).
Serve warm or cold.

If you look at the top pic, you see a bit more of it, but it's a paddle/board-thingy. Why I keep it, I don't know, and I don't even know where I got it. I haven't thrown it out yet because I don't know why I kept it in the first place, so there's a tiny chance that it actually has a purpose lol.

The sad thing (at least, most normal people think it's sad) is that bookself actually covers the enitre wall of the dining room, almost up to the ceiling, and I have another couple of bookshelves in the living room, plus another in the dining room, plus about 600+ books in my bedroom. And I've read all of those at least twice. And I still need more books, which I don't even have room for the ones I have!

thats AWESOME!!! we need a bookshelf like that in my house. or in my room. or both. my tiny bookshelf is full and i have to keep the rest of my books in a box in the basement cuz they dont fit :-\ and my dad got a bookcase/shelf for the living room, but of course he only wants HIS books in it and won't let anyone else keep their books in there @_@ even though more than half of his books are in the basement as well.

i dont think its sad at all ;)

I have about 15 or so cardboard boxes full of books - not to mention the shelves and shelves of them scattered about the house, pretty much all of which are also mine. I can't bring myself to get rid of them. Instead, I buy MORE books. Why, oh, why must I be addicted to something that takes up so much space?

Bartender, a strawberry and ground beef smoothie please!

hey all,

busy day, thought I'd stop in and say hi though.

So sore today but in that good work out way rather than the oh my God I have snapped tendons and torn muscles, although playing football tonight for the first time in months so that could change very easily.

As for books, our flat is dominated by them so much I am actually currently banned from buying any more! (which reminds me, I was meant to be looking up certain things on the library catalogue to see if they have them to borrow) However, this is not helped by the vast quantity of text books I am getting through my OU classes (my other half cleared me a shelf for them and I have already filled it and I only have half of this years texts!)

Good for you Zero. Seems I know a few people that had that sort of day either Saturday or Sunday. Helped my bud John by going out bunny busting which required two two mile humps in the mud and rain and wind and cold. I think the still moments were awesome. The wind would just suddenly die off on the morning and everything seemed so peaceful. Worked on his 1911, watched the Royal Rumble (quit being a wrestling fan at twelve and now its just dumb fun), and witnessed some ass handing on Call Of Duty 4. Exciting wrestling moment. Superfly Jimmy Snuka comes out and hands out numbers for ass whoopin's. Better moment: bagpipes and Rowdy Roddy Piper rolls out and faces off with Snuka. Fake as hell when the matched up with the younger stars, but some of the strikes were all too convincing. Old dudes handing out punch tickets makes me laugh. Not in a bad way. I laugh because old dudes bitch slapping fools makes the slapees look so ridiculous.

Ah! Rambled. Must work.

Gosh, busy for a couple of days and it takes me an hour to catch up!

Now let me see if I can remember all the things I wanted to say.

Magda - Woooot! You're coming to England?! We HAVE to get together! Drop me a line and we'll arrange a girlie night out. We could even make it a party and finally dig out the (yes, undeniably cute!) Gee and go to see the band he's always recommending. Do you like horseriding? I live on a stud and can offer many animal adventures! You could come and play with the wallabies at work if you're feeling homesick for your wombat roots!

Riverflan - you too are very cute and I do not talk to people who own less than 500 books (minimum). What I find strange and alarming is a figure I remember reading that the average home has about 1.5 books in it. Excuse me whilst I whimper at the madness of the world.

That reminds me:
Gee - are you ready for the next Dresden book yet or is work keeping you too busy (might not be your cup of tea, I'm a huge fan but will not force my reading tastes on others. What am I saying? That's what I always do when I like an author, pester all my firends till they read them too and can discussthem with me!)

PR - Not chatted for ages. How's things going sweetie? Sounds like college is stressful and tiring. Hang in there! I'm sure it will be worth it in the long run!

MSB - hope you enjoyed you weekend with parents. Good luck with the little devils this week. I've hit upon quite a successful method of breaking their spirits if you need a new torture method!

Kelkil - your bar title is now just mean and taunting as it is so far off the weekend that I'm not sure I'll survive.

Better get my 5 hours of snooze in then before another funfilled day.

*slowly disolves in the acid bitterness of her own sarcasm*

Oh well, if comics are included then I'm well into quadruple figures!

Congrats on the house sale MsB! Have a glass of bubbly on me!

As to the terror tactics, actually they are not new at all, just new to me. Does anyone know how bumble bees communicate. It's by something called the Waggle Dance where the way they waggle their asses tells the hive where the best flowers are. I demonstrated this to the class, much to their great hilarity. What I have found empowering is that my embarrassment threshold is MUCH higher than theirs so now if someone annoys me I threaten to get them to get up and demonstrate this dance to the class. Apparently this is a fate worse than death!

What is this sleep you speak of?

*shows off his bloodshot eyes*

dozed for most of the night. Then at 5:00 AM (yup you heard me right) the little one decided to wake us up because she wanted to crawl into bed. Kicked her out multiple times (now she is bawling at the top of her lungs and it is 5:45....

So I am almost dozing again and my home phone rings. I look at the clock and it is 6:00 AM (seeing a pettern here?)

FOR FK SAKE!

Get up to answer the phone and they hang up. Look at the caller ID and it was my folks house.

Figured it was my youngest nephew trying to get a hold of his briother so I go back to bed.

Almost dozing again and it is time for my alarm and my nephew's to go off!
