Yes, gorrammit!!

(And not just for me. There's a cute Japanese girl at my school who happens to be an Eva fan, and I want to have good news for her.)

I guess we are the only ones...

I'm trying soooo hard to stay away from the crappy version that's floating around.

No; ya'll aren't the only ones.

I've been looking forward to the US release of Rebuild since it was announced last year. Tried to watch it un-subbed, and couldn't enjoy it. Don't get me wrong; the imagery is great, and the story is close enough to the original to pick up on what is going on, but I'm sure that there was a lot I was missing (you know, on account of not speaking Japanese LOL).

Yeah, I'll only watch animé in Japanese (but with the English subtitles, of course!).

There's just something about the sound of the Japanese language that makes it all serious and cool... but English dubbing makes it seem like cheap Saturday morning kiddie stuff.

I still need to find the last couple of episodes on DVD, but then I understand there was a bit of controversy about the broadcast ending, so I need to find End of Evangelion instead, right?
