details! details!

Obviously you don't have to explain if you don't want to, but this thread is all about trying to figure stuff out. Maybe with all the imponderers combined we can help point something out that will help you find your perfect man.

Zeek: Thanks, but...
I'm pissed at myself for letting myself take a person I thought I knew (for several years) at face value...that what they meant what they said.
Thought I was beat-down enough with everything this school year, then I get an extra kick to the gut and teeth....

MsB: I think I'll pass on the man-bot...right now, man-bot, hoo-mans, etc. are all of the evil...(I must remember to thank the schools for learning these things...'cause we all know how schools are to be the fount of everything we learn...[ /sarcasm])

Btw, NVG: If the title was true, then "God" must be working really hard to make me "loveable" on the inside, 'cause I am becoming ering ugly on the inside. (Hard, brittle, and mean too.)

Okay...going to stop ranting...someone just stick a fork in me, then bury me and be fusking done with it already.

Oh 'Neko hon, it is exactly what the song is about.

http://www.lyricsdownload.com/atmosphere-god-loves-ugly-lyrics.html

Someone put down by everyone but more by themselves trying not to make it big hust in the world but with themselves. It's a struggle and it sucks donkey ass. But it has to be worth it in the end. God loves ugly because it is the realization of how beautiful we are and letting other people know that makes the world worth contiuing on.

I've been gathering computer parts. I finally got the last one I needed yesterday and then I went to poker night instead of finishing off my new machine. I'm all antsy now and I really don't want to be at work. How come there are no snow days in the middle of TX when you need one?

There's some potential that the newer style of processor I got won't work with my mother board right out of the box. That's really what's eating at me. I want to find out if I'm hosed or not. *Zeek stares at the clock and rocks back and forth in his chair waiting for quittin time*

Oh psssh. You can't blame yourself for not knowing a guy's lying to you. That's just being a trusting person and it's not a bad quality. I think that the only way to find a good relationship means you have to open yourself up to being hurt. It's the risk vs. reward. Keep your chin up.

Now I kind of understand the meaning behind "keep our chin up". Normally you must keep your chin down and your hands up for a proper guard. Risk versus reward.

Too bad so many of my male counterparts are such asshats. Adds to the suckage of helping where I can not. But then again I tend to lean in the direstion of nutshots and headbutts so...

shameless plug

I actually don't know if I'm supposed to be plugging. I'm sure there will be plugging later, but this is just for my imponderable buddies for now.

Browncoat Ball 2008 registration is open http://www.browncoatball.com/2008/index.htm

Check out the shiny site and the list of events at least. I'm eying the bad guy track myself, but there's fun for all from the looks of it. I haven't even signed up yet, but I'm sure I'll be going. I know all the planner people from the Austin Browncoat group and they're all real nice. I'm sure they'll be willing to answer questions for you or you can just ask me and I'll talk to them for you.

Anyway I think any of you that have the means to make it should come on out for the ball. It'll be a ball hehehe (had to say it)

HUGS Neko I am so sorry. It's always terrible when someone you trusted hurts you because it doesn't just hurt, it damages your confidence in your ability to read people and situations and it makes you feel small... I wish I could stomp that evil man to dust!!! He deserves it for what he's done. You so didn't need this with all the other stuff going on. But I can promise there are good guys out there and things do get better.... after 11 years of wasting my time I got really lucky and I know you will too!!

NV in thanks for his wonderfulness

Zeek.. oh I wish , but with the move and all the money spent and the saving for D*C I can't make it... sigh maybe next year

Good morning people. I love Browncoat events and support as much as I can. But this weekends shoot left a bad taste in my mouth. I know one of the leapord print jersey wearing f^#*rags is a BC merely by the naming of his marker. Can anyone guess what the prince of originality named it?

Anyway I've been having these illogical spots of anger that really don't lead much of anywhere. It sucks. As explained to MSB I was driving in an alley behind downtown and was wishing someone would start something. I'd entertain them by trading fists but just so I could have the supreme satisfaction with palming their head and making it a permenant fixture in the brick wall. Strangely there is no real anger involved but the will to dominate some dirty POS just suited the thought. Kinda realized that it had to do with the mention of someone I am quickly beginning to despise. Chances are it is just lingering anger of what I can't change about that person. It is coming to the point where my only concern is the money owed to me. But then again a few grand will do that to a person.

ARRRGGGHHHH!!! Now I just want to break some kneecaps and collect fingers. Gotta go blow off some steam.

ooh ooh I guess... Kaylee ( just kidding)

It's always frustrating when a friend disappoints you... but when they do it over and over and show no sign of remorse for taking from you and never returning the favor... it's really something that makes you angry
Wish this wasn't happening...

Also wish the coach hadn't gone on morning announcements and told everyone I am leaving. I was waiting to tell the kids until a few days before because of the reaction... most of them have decided since I am leaving, they don't have to behave at all so they are a lot worse than usual.... Coach meant well... did a speech about how I will be missed and told the kids and such to thank me for what I have done, but it really wasn't so great...sigh

HUGS to all

MsB, are you sure that your administration and mine aren't in cahoots with each other?
Mine decided to make an impossible request while slamming one of our clerks...("When you enter in the students' attendance, could you please enter if it is an excused or unexcused absence/tardy? 'Pueo' is having a hard time with taking care of everything that needs to be done and I'm constantly sitting with h** to make sure that its done with efficiency...") *rolls eyes*
I can't believe that coach did that...(oh, wait, your school and mine are so similar right now, that yes I can...) I have no doubt that coach might have had the best of intentions, but really...is he that clueless?

*sigh* Spring break can't come soon enough...nor stay for long enough...

Plus I might have a house to rent... thanks to help from someone very sweet NV

All of the Houston Browncoats that I know are great. I don't know Beth all that well, but I talk to her on the 76th forums sometimes. Lost_Though and ArtCat are from that area too, I think.

I'm not 100% certain, but I think there are some in the role-playing game. I have it at home and can check it for you this weekend if you like.

Neko, you can come here and relax for your spring break if you want to. I mean, rural middle Georgia is nothing compared to the paradise you live in, but I'm sure we could think of something fun to do.

CHOLLETT

Alrighty then!

It's late/early here (1 am, and counting, but i'm a college student so this is, unfortunately, normal....) , but I gots me a ponderable.

Do you think it's best to enter a relationship with someone soon after you meet them, or to get to know them first? I know the answer could seem obvious, but here's my sitch:

I like to get to know girls first before I think about asking them out, but falling under the general heading of a "nice guy", by the time i get to know them/vice verse, they ALWAYS only see me as a friend, for whatever reason, be it simply that or because they don't want to ruin the friendship. I mean, that I get, but when you're 19, male, and hormones a'ragin' whether you like it or not, it can get a mite frustrating. In particular, there's a girl (i talked about her in an early, EARLY imponderables thread about 2 years ago) who i went to high school with, lost contact with for most of a year once i graduated, and then reestablished contact with, and she's one of my very best friends. She's told me before that i'm just a very good friend, but recently i decided to tell her once, outright, that i like her. A la Jim (The Office, S.2, Casino Night, just not as dramatic). I emphasized the point that the utmost priority is retaining our friendship, which is absolutely true, but my ponderable still stands.

What say you?

Wow, i really hate writing about a sitch straight out of teenage cliche, but there you have it.

I'm babbling like a moonbrain.

MsB is right, we'll definitely dispatch them as well as deal with the bodies, we have package deals for that sort of thing. As for a limit, well, I'd say that the only real one is that we won't kill any of our own families or close friends.

Chollett, I'm right there with you on being a "nice guy". I'd always make friends with the girl, then nothing more. I was the one in high school who the girl would come to to cry about asshole #1 leaving her, then her plotting and scheming with me to get asshole #2 to like her. *sigh* To answer your ponderable, I still think it's a good idea to get to know someone before you get too much into a relationship with them. I've rushed into things before, and it definitely isn't the way for me.

JONNYQUEST

"Did he just go crazy and fall asleep?"

Mornin' all.

Hi, Jimi. I'm sorta with you on this one. And sorta not.

I've been the friend, too. Oy. Love hath no pain like a love unrequited. Unless you count love lost.

I say if you are "romantically" interested in a girl, it should not be a secret from the start. Let that be the "goal". The method toward that goal is the "getting to know you, getting to know all about you" part. As you get to know one another better, you'll find out if there's a fit. If there's no fit, you can back out quickly and honestly and move on. Bees don't get their pollen all from the same flower. If on the other hand there is a fit, you can follow it as far as it leads. Here's where I part company (but I bet not really) with Jimi. There's no reason to rush in. Don't get attached until the fit is sure. Don't fall for her just because she said yes. Whores will say yes, but that doesn't mean they are for you. Companions say yes, too, but they are chosing you, you're not chosing them. Yes only means let's give it a shot. Your ranging hormones are NOT your heart. Give your heart only to the one you really want.

By the way, Chollett, nice to meet you.

As for the J&J thing, I haven't read up on it all. I'll have to get back to you.

When was the last time we had an underwear thread? I only ask because I came across a product yesterday that profoundly disturbed me and I need to put it in front of the group for discussion. Because, well, I need to understand:

EDIT - (picture gone, but you can still see it on the shelf in stores.)

Does that seem right to you?
(of course, now I'm even more disturbed: the image comes straight out of Amazon...!)

That is all kinds of wrong, JQ. The picture, not the other response.

Chollet - My brother always seems to end up being the 'friend' - but then he always seems to fancy a particular type (ie bimbo-with-dubious-boyfriend) The whole world is made up of folks fancying other folks, and not always mutually. You can only give it your best shot.

JQ!!!!!!!! Where you been man? You need to post more. We haven't had any disturbing pictures of undergarment protection in ages! And yes that is a product that should never exist.

CHOLLETT, I think JQ pretty much nailed that on the head all over the place. Make your intentions known as soon as you find yourself interested in the girl. There's nothing wrong with getting to know her, but if you aren't even hinting that you're interested then she's not the one to blame when she thinks of you just as a friend. There's also nothing wrong with getting to know a person while dating. Just because you go on a few dates you're not signing a contract. It's OK to find out you're not a match after a little while.

Let's be logical here. Dating gets a big 'F' for succes. The only way you get a passing grade is if you fall in love with the first person you date and live happily ever after. Even dating 2 people you're down to a 50% success rate. In reality it's probably going to be something in the single digets of success. There's nothing wrong with it. So, don't worry about finding the perfect person before you even ask them out.
