But the question remains which planet was the first to part ways, go indepenent, leave, not want anything to with the Alliance ? I know Joss based some of Firefly on the Civil war but the question here is which planet followed by what other planets were the ones on the Indepenent side during the Unification War.
There is much information on the war but no one seems to know what planet started it off. That is all I am looking for.

Asiansolo; I believe the 'question' was answered to the best of our ability - i.e. - no one 'left' - because they weren't "all together." When the Alliance decided to gather all the planets under it's control the Independence was formed to battle against being taken OVER. I believe in the Firefly Companion Vol. 2 there is a reference to Mal's home planet of Shadow "being among the first" to resist; but there is, to my knowledge no 'canon' list of planets that RESISTED (not left) Alliance control. Dong ma?

Sister,
Thank you for your information. Maybe I should of not say left but instead I should of used left alone . But I do find it odd that Firefly Wiki would state that, even though it is not "official". It's the details in the background that makes a series enjoyable. But then again thank you for your time in this matter.
