Just a not-so-subtle reminder about the Firefly Marathon on Friday, May 16th. Sci-Fi will be showing EIGHT Episodes, in their proper order, from 8am to 4pm. They'll be starting with the Pilot Episode and go right on through Jaynestown. :o)
************************************************
And for you Browncoats living in or near Bloomington Indiana...

From 11am to 4pm, Opie Taylor's restaurant located on the east side of the square in Bloomington will be showing the BDSeries on their big screen TV. Please join myself and other Browncoats as we watch the Best Damn Series Ever this coming Friday!
************************************************
PS: I think it would be a nice gesture to e-mail skiffy and send them a nice "Thank You" for their efforts. In fact, they must be warming up to us again, because there's gonna be Another Marathon on June 6th! The addy is feedback@scifi.com

Awsome, to bad i wont be able to watch alot of it. Stupid school! Does it help the ratings to just keep the tv on that channel, if it does i will just do that.

Actually, when you e-mail Sci-Fi, you are e-mailing Universal; NBC/Universal owns skiffy

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Got the DVR set to record and already fired off a thank you email to Sci Fi. I'll send another tomorrow night after the marathon.

Another way to show your approval might be to get over to the Firefly forum on the Skiffy site and post over there for the day...

Zoe: Don't think its a good spot sir, she still has the advantage over us.

Just watched the first part of "Serenity" (The Pilot)

It's easy to forget how much FUN the Eps are with commercials. Changes the pacing...

Common people, BSG has 198 currently browsing the SciFi BSG forum, we have 7, including me...
Get your browncoats over there to the SciFi Firefly forums... Show them you are here.

I know we won't get 200 people but we can do better than 7!

Thanks to all

Had our "shindig". Only six people were able to come, friday being a workday
and schoolday here. three customers at the restaurant ended up coming over to
the table and talking with us about FF and how much they love it. So that was Shiny .

I sure do love being a Browncoat.

Howdy fellow browncoats

Just to put my 50 cents in. I knew the si/fi Firefly May16 marathon was coming but yesterday happened to be a day of obligated overtime at work for me *

· Obligated overtime = a day that has to be covered by someone from another shift if there is someone missing.

May 16 there was someone on vacation so I knew well in advance that I wouldn’t be able to see Firefly on the si/fi channel. I saw the marathon being mentioned here but didn’t think much of it because I knew I would be working so I forgot about the whole thing. Well the verse gods must have been looking down on me because at the last minute Thursday another employee volunteered to work in my spot and I was able to have off. Since I’d forgotten about the marathon on the si/fi channel I got up in the morning intending to do some yard work. I was only going to make a quick check of the weather on tv when HOLY SMOLY, I saw “Serenity” the pilot episode was on and I remembered the marathon. Just a note, the yard work was postponed until Saturday. I was surprised that the episodes were only run through Jaynestown. I hadn’t kept up with the scheduling since I didn’t think I’d be able to watch. I was able to watch the whole marathon and enjoyed it very much.

I am no longer a member of the Si/Fi channel since their “Big Upgrade” where they happened to lose so many browncoats accounts. I tried several times to get back with no luck and I’m not changing my SN to rejoin.

I often go to Hulu to watch FF when my browncoat friends are watching the BDSeries on Universal HD Saturday nights and for the first time in a long while I watched f*>< on Friday because “Dodgeball” with Alan T was on.

Firefly is everywhere and our BDHs seem to be doing very well with other projects (although I think they’d still come back for more FF) The verse keeps getting bigger and I’m still pissed at f*>< for what they continue to do (ignore the browncoats by not bringing it back even though FF is a success story).

Well that’s about my rant for the day. Hope everyone was able to enjoy the marathon if they could.

Peace out, Z
