It's possible he was being all ninja stealthy.

Or possibly enigmatic.

I tried for an enigmatic vibe once but I couldn't keep my mouth shut long enough.

*Emma runs maniacally through all the glomp traps because she's tough and can take it!*

Oh yeah! Bring it on!

Save a glomp for me!

OK, so painithebuttslackernurse apparently had enough time on her hands to go through the medicine log and find a mistake I made sometime last month while I was having a brain fart. She photocopied it and gave it to the manager.

I now have to attempt to track down the patient in question with the following information to go on:
My signature.
The date I signed out the med.
The lot number of the med (useless).
When what I really need is either
a) the name
or
b) the chart number
... which of course are the two items I neglected to write down, hence the glaring cock-up.

But at least I'm not getting called on the carpet for what she's getting spoken to for the second time in a week.
You'd think she'd have learned after the first time, wouldn't you?

The nurse who's out on disability won't be released until at least September which is too long for us to hold the position.
This in theory means we get to keep an agency nurse if she's willing to stay on. YAY!!
I've gotten her trained in every area that I can think of, and the *other* new nurse only has a few more areas to go before she's set. pip-pip-poorah!

PITBSN was throwing temper tantrums. The one we've nicknamed Sunshine (she is!) called in sick again, so we were down one, and then PITBSN's partner in crime left abruptly and didn't tell *anyone* other than the boss (even though boss had told her to let us know). I don't know why and I don't care why, but if she'd told us in advance of leaving the building instead of our finding out about an hour and a half later we'd have distributed the workload differently.

We still managed to slam through the client load and I only had to stay about an hour and a quarter late tonight because we had three other nurses stay late and get overtime. Yay for working together well, with one notable exception!

I'll need to go in early tomorrow to make sure we're set and to try Getting Stuff Done that I wouldn't otherwise get finished before week's end.

Barkeep! Por favor, an Irish coffee I could bathe in should I so desire!

(Starts toeing around in the corners and odd places trying to spring a trap because she could actually use a good glomp at this point.)

But as of Saturday the beam in the basement should be FINISHED and the house will not fall in on itself!! Wooooo hooooo!!!!
(Then we just have to deal with the rest of the jobs that need doing around here.

You haven't been caught by a trap? I'll have to take care of that!

*tosses a trap at rose, which glomps her, and then glomps her herself*

There, two for the wait!

Sorry for hogging all the glomps Rose, sounds like you need them.

GLOMP from me!

I really sympathise about PITBSN. I HATE it when people are so petty as to pick out your mistakes and go running to tell about them (especially when it's a case of the plank in thier own eye sort of situation- ooh, hark at me with the Biblical references, who knew Sunday school would have stuck so long!).

I've had that a couple of times and running to the boss is never as helpful as having a quiet and sympathetic word with a colleague your supposed to be working together with, to work out how to fix a mistake and avoid it happening again.

Just remember, she may have achieved a moment of smug satisfaction, but you're the nicer person!

*Glomps Msb*

It's going good, a little pissed that I can't play MGS4 till next month. So I'm trying to avoid all gaming sites so I don't run into any spoilers.

Glad to hear you had a good time.

Hi, MsB - yeah, some headway. I hope to have my new range connected on Friday - it will then have been over nine weeks since I had a working kitchen - and I will be firing up that sucker big time! (Five burners, including a big-ass central burner...)

Otherwise, the fruit crop in the garden is coming along nicely. Fresh strawberries, anyone?

(And later in the summer I will be indulging my inner Nigella and making jam. Husband will be molesting the mint, and making the best moquitos ever...The two activities are not compatible.)

ooh, yeah - serious gastro-porn moment. We're talking top of the range big chrome job, two fan ovens, five gas burners, including the triple-burner, double grill and a fancy-ass hood with lights and fans and all-singing, all-dancing culinary happiness.

So I can get all the Le Creuset pans out of storage, and restock the spice chest (yes, I have one) and sharpen up my very scary Japanese knives...
