-It's never too early to start!

This September 30th, a lot of Browncoats will be celebrating
the Third Anniversary of the Release of Serenity. Unlike Joss'
Birthday, which is celebrated Internationally with Can't Stop
The Serenity, Sereniversary has been basically a Grass-Roots
Celebration. Since it's a Browncoat Celebration, "Independent"
approaches seem very appropriate. I've always liked this. Local
Celebrations, with Screenings and Shindigs for LOCAL Charities
just seem... Right.

Here in Indiana, I haven't heard too much about Sereniversary
Plans. Here in Bloomington, there'll be the 3rd Annual Charity
Screening of the BDM, to benefit the local Women's Counseling
Center and Shelter. There's also going to be a "Browncoat Back-
woods Bash" Picnic on the 13th, a Picnic for some visiting BC
friends from Out of State.

That being said, are any of you out there planning to do anything
for Sereniversary-3? Shindigs? Picnics? Home parties? Charity
Screenings? Bake Sales? Anything that will help local Charities,
and find local Flans, is a good thing!

Is that going to be at the cinemat? Missed last year. Had a wedding and roller derby the same weekend. Didn't even find out about it til I was out buying wedding gifts at the comic shop on 6th street. Yes, I buy wedding gifts at comic shops.

details on bloomington festivities would be appreciated.

I just bought some Birthday Presents at the same Comic Shop, Rob, so I understand. They had the Fruity-Oaty Bar Lunchbox!

Tenative plans are that yes, the Sereniversary screening will be at the Cinemat. Nothing else planned, simply because I can't get all the local BCs together to talk about this stuff.

e-mail me at browncoats@excite.com, and I'll be better able to keep you updated on B-town BC activities, such as they are. I was thinkin' this morning that a FREE screening of DTI at the Cinemat in August might help generate enthusiasm for Sereniversary....

How about the rest of you Browncoats out there? Is ANYone planning Activities for Sereniversary Day?

Am thinkin' hard about it...Really wanting to do this , though my plate is already quite full...

I'm going to give a nudge to some other local folk , and see if we can make a screening and a little Shindig possible...

Hard to believe it's only been 3 years since the BDM...Seems much longer than that now , dunnit ?

It's good to know that you're at the least even contemplating doing something. Any excuse for a Shindig is a good excuse!
