Over on Digital Bits the offical cover art for the Blu-ray release is up. Take a look at:

At least it's not firing lasers out the cargo bay doors or lightning out it's arse.

$60+, though.

Hey, look at this as an opportunity - it's now officially time to buy that big honkin' flatscreen 1080 hi-def TV! And a shiny new Blu-Ray player to make it look nice.

I haven't had the joy of watching Blu-Ray yet, but I can tell you that hi-def TV puts my plain ol' DVDs to shame.

This might be all the excuse I need to step up to a Blu-Ray player, or at least a PS3.

Great - I like the cover art. I too don't have a Blu-Ray player or Hi-Def TV as yet but I think I'll get it anyway. It's my belief that much is riding on the sales numbers for this release.

BTW a group of us are looking to misbehave and make some noise over at Fox and Universal. We need to organize to get Firefly back on the air.
(Funny saying that now that everything will be digital).

Please join us at www.savefirefly.org

We're starting a campaign to get FF back and we need to spread the word.

Had to do a little searching to find it, so I thought I'd link to it directly here for anyone else who's curious.

YT

the movie is not the Series. Only the facts have been changed, to irritate the innocent; the names of the actors and characters remain the same

Thanks. I couldn't find it from the original link.

Keep the Shiny Side Up . . .

I was in Circuit City the other day, and they has a side by side comparison of Blu-Ray vs regular digital. I watched for about 90 seconds before I said "Yeah, I really need to get out of here, NOW!!" It really is amazing.

i wish this series came out on HD DVD before the format died.
I bought Serenity on HD DVD and that is how i got into the whole Firefly series. I bought the boxset pretty cheap at target but I would love to have it in high def.

I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not.
