www.zap2it.com say's it opened to modest ratings (around 9 million) but won the 18-49 demo. Plus it'll be following HOUSE so that'll help.

And that IS the critical demographic !

The downside is that some shows have done similar numbers on other networks , and been cancelled ,
but the upside is that this is a particularly vibrant show , with a plethora of pluses...

It will gain ground 'til it becomes a wide-reaching 'cult' hit , somewhat like the 'Lost' or 'Heroes' phenomena...

But , FRINGE is a show that's better than either of the others , plus , it has Dr. House as the lead-in !

Tomorrow's House episode is conspicuous by its inclusion of Felicia Day , from 'Dr. Horrible' !

I got to watch FRINGE a second time , due to the encore , and it gets BETTER with repeat viewings !
There's a LOT of detail crammed into that show , so much that really could slip by without close attention...

I noticed that inside the offices of the "BLUESUN-like" 'Massive Dynamic' , there were a lot of projected words and slogans trucking along the walls...

Some were kind of 'morbid and creepifying' , but 'serenity' was included among them , perhaps not coincidentally...

I get the notion that the old 'F-net' might be on a build-up all the way until the Dollhouse premiere...

Yee-Haw ! Relight the Firefly !

Missed the first broadcast. I'm so glad they repeated it.
First episode is really intriguing. This is one we'll add to the regular rotation.

I really enjoyed the pilot and will pay attention to it as the season goes on. It's good that Fox puts entire episodes online if you miss it. I actually don't watch much TV outside of sports. The only other show I regularly follow right now is Terminator (because I love the franchise, and because I love Summer!)

" LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) -
J.J. Abrams' mind-control experiment seems to be working. The second episode of Fox's supernatural science fiction thriller "Fringe" jumped a stunning 45% in the ratings Tuesday night.

"Fringe" pulled in 13.2 million viewers, up from 9.1 million for last week's premiere, retaining most of its lead-in from the Season 5 premiere of "House."

Unfortunately for Fox, the 14.7 million viewers for the medical drama was down sharply from the 18.3 million who tuned in to the Season 4 premiere. Last year, the show aired during the official broadcast premiere week, so it had a more effective launch period.

If "Fringe" and "House" are able to roughly maintain this week's level of popularity, a softer "House" number will be irrelevant. Fox's goal is to have two winning hours on Tuesdays this fall instead of one. If the two syringe-and-microscope dramas can hold steady against the gauntlet of increased competition during the next few weeks, Fox will gain a formidable Tuesday-night beachhead. "

I hope that Dollhouse does well as a lead in to 24. FOX may be getting there sh*t together.

If your not in the States you can't watch any of the shows on any of the network sites. Anyone have an alternative site for those outside the country?

I don't know what it is about the show, but I enjoy watching it. That being said, it hasn't drawn me in to the point where I would feel bad or hate missing an episode. Maybe I'm not just there with it yet, but I'll keep watching.

I think Joshua Jackson is great in this. It's good to see Charlie Conway again, I was never a Dawson's Creek fan.

I'm convinced I'm a thread killer.

Can someone please tell me if there are alternative sites to see aired episodes. Unfortunately being in Canada I'm outside the area for any of the networks (why don't they make the shows online available for viewing to the rest of the world?)

Please, I went and taped the 2 hour premier of Heroes (and the 1 hour special before that) and found out I taped NOTHING! NADA! ZILP! ZILCH! OMG I TAPED 3 HOURS OF DEAD AIR.

Anybody? Puh-leeeeeze..........

Maybe your life is kinda like that movie 'Contact' , and that 3 hours of deadness is just meaning that you kinda went someplace for that amount of time...

Could explain how you ended up in Canuckia , perhaps round-about-ly...

I don't believe you're the thread killer...but most of us have had that experience one time or the tuther...

Got a little good news about Fringe...Looks like it may hang on for the season...

I am really loving to watch Anna Torv...She's that kinda woman...I'm kind of a sucker for smart women , and even though I'm more partial to brunettes , there's something about smart blondes that puts a double whammy on me...Anna has a Germanic or 'northern European' look , like she came from Saxony , or from Sweden , possibly...(I know she's Aussie , but she still looks Euro...)

I love to watch smart women...
Especially if they have such a pretty mouth...An expressive mouth makes 'em all the more interesting...Kathryn Morris works on me the same way...But , Kathryn's got cuter ears...

Okay , enough stream-of-consciousness digression...

Back to the show...

" One of the most buzzed-about new shows this fall was Fox's "Fringe," but it failed to translate the hype into high ratings as it brought in only a so-so amount of viewers (9.1 million). However, the numbers have slowly increased since the show's premiere and it will most likely be picked up for a full season."

Well , in worst case , looks like there'll be a DVD set...

But , I hope you've found a way to watch online in the meantime ?

If I discover something that'll work for you , I'll pass it along...
