i just watched all the episodes of firefly and the movie serenity. I am now watching the documentary about it all. I can't beleive they cancelled such a badass show.... i want more dammnit, i don't know where I was or what i was doing when firefly was on TV, but i didn't even know about it, fox must have really screwed up....

Keep the faith and spread the word (loaning out dvds if you have any spares is a great way) - there are tens of thousands that would feel like you if only they knew about the show!

Not only did fox not "get it", but I think they also missed the "potential" of where this style of Sci-Fi could go. It was an excellent breading ground for great story telling, perfect casting and it left you wanting more. And no aliens to deal with

You could really feel you were part of the drama.
It was a real shame then and it even holds true today....

Nope. It is a deal Dark Horse has with myspace. I think it is only 8 pages. Serenity:The Other Half will be printed as part of graphic novel a couple of months from now.

Guess I was hangin' with you, Thrasher! I also just watched all the eps online and then just had to see the movie. I never saw the show when it was on TV. It kinda doesn't matta anyhow 'cause the PTB always cancel anything I like. They should hire me to give my heartfelt opinion about the new shows, and anything I love they don't have to put on because it'll just be cancelled after one season. ("Friends" lasted 10 years because I never watched it.) Just sayin'.

I think that Fox didn't really believe in this show and didn't give it a chance. I watched the show when it first aired and it was hard to keep up with Fox's preempting and schedule changes.

I also noticed that when the movie came out none of the stars of the movie appeared on anyof the talk shows to promote it. Curious indeed. But here we are 6 years after the series demise and 3 years after the movie and we Browncoats are ever vigilant.

Same thing happened for the original Star Wars.
