The funniest movie ever made is "Cold Turkey", made in 1971 staring Dick Van Dyke. "Airplane" is a 2nd.

I'm going to microwave a bagel and have sex with it - Peter Griffin

Ok, I'll keep an eye out for Cold Turkey - thanks for the tip. But I'm casting my vote for Steve Martin and Michael Caine in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

Don't make me fetch the genital cuff...

It was like I buy my plasticware with the forks pre-corked when we got here!

For my money, it's Caddyshack. Every scene has a punchline.

Oscar?
Galaxy Quest was much better than that, so was Canadian Bacon, Home Alone, The Man Who Knew Too Little, Stripes, Super Fuzz, and Freaked.
Mom and Dad Save the World might be more subjective.

MACBAKER

"Blake Edwards' S.O.B."
Almost impossible to find (though I still have the VHS version).

Robert Preston playing a Hollywood doctor, steals every scene he's in, and towards the end of the film Edwards directs a "Bernie" sequence funnier than anything in "Weekend At Bernie's"!

Loretta Swit: "You're going to let that shyster in?"
Robert Preston: "Polly, I could sue you for that! A shyster is a disreputable lawyer! I'M A QUACK!"

I'd given some thought to movin' off the edge -- not an ideal location -- thinkin' a place in the middle.

"Don't look now, baby, but here comes the director in his obligatory cameo. Egomaniac."

"He lives in a piece of paper?"
"Get the recipe, ass!"

And who can forget:

Easy! Without question, Evil Roy Slade.
It was the forerunner of Blazing Slades, Airplane. I still laugh just thinking about it!

I'm seeing the how, I'm just not getting the why...

Anybody here see Hamlet 2? I laughed almost the whole time and when I wasn't laughing I was hiding my face from the supremely embarrassing things the main character was up to. Closest thing to the British Office I've seen so far in terms of painful, painful comedy. Definitely a new personal favorite.

Don't know if anyone's mentioned yet:

Office Space

The first Austin Powers (Before we knew what it would do to every Holloween party for the next 5 years.)

The Big Lebowski (Funnier than Raising Arizona--and that's saying something!)

The Life Of Brian is tops for me.

This would be followed, in no order, by:

Shaun Of The Dead
Hot Fuzz
The Blues Brothers
Rosenrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead
Anything by the Coens
Holy Grail

To name a few.
