Check it out:

"Ausiello reveals that Glau will appear on the March 9th episode, in which Leonard, Sheldon, Howard and Raj take a train to San Francisco, and realize that Glau is on board."

I never would have guessed she would guest star on this show. But I will definitely be watching!

Oh, HELL YEAH! Love Summer, love that damn show...the latter being the reason that I didn't think it would be allowed to last past the first half-dozen eps. It's little things like this - TBBT lasting AND Summer appearing on it - that keep my utterly unjustified faith in cosmic justice on life support.

Thanks for the PSA, Dinky!

ETA: I predict TBBT will soon assume a "Will & Grace"-like stature as a show all "hip and with it" peeps will want to cameo/guest star on.

It was like that when we got here!

She seems a natural for the show, given her "geek-friendly" oeuvre. The question is, will Firefly get a mention or will it just be that other show she's in?

My guess is both - I smell a whole lotta genuine geek-love and general attention to detail comin' off that show.

Anyone see the one around Christmas where Penny gives Sheldon the Leonard Nimoy-autographed napkin? And Sheldon sort of figuratively craps his pants for a couple of minutes? One of the more touching and funny things I'll see this year (though it could be said I don't get out enough).

It was like I started thinking about River and Kaley Cuoco and then suddenly realized that I'd better stop when we got here!

Myself. In fact, I'm just a bit concerned at how much this little piece of news has brightened my afternoon.

Perhaps I need professional help...

Ah yes. Which show? If it were TRULY geek friendly . . . and we know that it is . . . they'll more than likely reference both shows. But it would be a hoot if Sheldon got all nervous around her thinking that the "River" in Summer might surface and try to read his mind :oD

Mal: "Yeah"
Zoe: "So not running now"
Mal: "Not so much"

I read this a couple of days ago. Totally awesome.

I know I shouldn't like this show since it's from the same guy that made TWO AND A HALF MEN. But as a guilty pleasure, I really enjoy it for it's geek humor. I keep waiting for it to be the U.S. version of SPACED without it being a direct copy. I loved the ep last season when they bought the time machine and when Leonard turned it on, Sheldon Howard and Raj all started moving fastly like in the movie. I thought that was definitely a "by geeks for geeks" joke.

Although to be fair, I think the geek humor is below the likes of SPACED or FUTURAMA. TBBT still relies on sitcom cliches sometimes. But SPACED and FUTURAMA were pioneers in the geek humor category. Especially the latter with Bender being son #1729 and Kiff's "four million lines of BASIC" holo-program. But I liked the time when Sheldon and Raj were debating over which STAR TREK film was the worst, TMP or FINAL FRONTIER. I can't really weigh in, since I thought TMP was severely underrated, and THE FINAL FRONTIER had so many problems and compromises done to it that it's amazing that they even shot a frame of it. NEMESIS put me to sleep, so if I had to choose a worst, it would be that one. But I digress.

Isn't Zack Whedon one of the writers? If he gets to pen the Summer episode I'm sure you'll see a Firefly reference.

Dinky, you are the greatest! Best news I've heard in quite some time. Thanks for the heads up!

Hey WashnWear,

You're posting on a site of a show that was canceled and left for dead some 7 years now, we all need professional help.

Summer on TBBT, the only thing that could be better is the BDS itself. (TBBT and HIMYM the only shows I watch on CBS, with the occasional NCIS look-see because I'm in love with Abby, the goth girl).

I'm afraid I've said too much.

Never said I wasn't in good company!

I love Abby, too. I'd love her a lot more if whoever writes her lines didn't try so hard. My NCIS heart pretty much belongs to Ziva...oh, Ziva...

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

It would be nice if there is a Firefly reference, but I am sure the main reason they made the deal for Summer to appear is that TBBT and TSCC are both produced by Warner Bros. Will they dare mention a FOX show?

So excited for tonight

and yes I did see the spisode where Penny gave Sheldon the autograph. I thought it was darling:)
Also love the recent one where Penny's having money problems and without hesitating Sheldon gives her whatever she needs
I love this show. It's really genuine and smart and funny...

It airs on the FOX network but it's produced by Warners. Firefly was on FOX and produced by 20th Century Fox Film Studios. That's the difference.
