Well, at least the people who tuned in stayed. The second half was much better than the first half.

Thanks Whozit, nice to know Dollhouse didn't lose the viewers in the second half hour- that's a good sign.

Don't look good for our team. Then again, the idea is to try and build an audience on Friday night. Terminator prmiered last year with 11.4 million. Started the second season with 5.8 million. Now it has 3.9. Not a good trend.

Dollhouse got 4.7 million. Isn't that what the first episode of Firefly got?

The first aired episode of Firefly had 5.4 million viewers.
Dollhouse is off to a rocky start unfortunately.
If it doesn't gain numbers it's doomed.

As for Terminator TSCC. That's a shame.

Okay. Just enjoy what we get then. Buy the DVD when it comes out. Thrill to the movie that ties up the plot lines. I can live with that again, I suppose.

I think Dollhouse has a lot of potential to do some great things in future episodes. But the purpose of the first episode is to draw people, and in my opinion, it failed here one because it used things we can see on other tv shows (the kidnapping scenario can be seen just about anywhere, CSI for example) and two because it lacked that whedon spark (which may be the network's fault) Soon after watching dollhouse I fired up an episode of Buffy on hulu and I kept thinking, WHY COULDN'T WE HAVE SEEN MORE OF THIS ON DOLLHOUSE! That sarcasm and campy humor was fun and would have been great to break some of the tension of the Dollhouse pilot. Don't get me wrong, I'm gonna keep watching it, because I like the set up and i want to see where it goes (as well as fund Joss so that he makes more Firefly - here's hoping). It just really sucks that it's premier episode, which may not be a good representation of the rest of the season/series, may have already put the nail in the coffin for Dollhouse.
