Hey y'all. I just got through watching the newest episode of TSCC, and i gotta say, it doesn't seem to me like there's going to be another season. There hasn't been a single good episode since the show returned from the break... what the hell are the writers thinking? All of this "Sarah's messup up psyche" stuff is boring as hell, and Cameron has been relegated to the background. There was only one thing that made this last episode worth watching... Summer glau in lingerie. Am i alone on this?

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I don't know about alone, but I'm not with you. I like the character introspection and Lena Heady has been doing some great work lately. What's wrong with the title character getting more screen time?

Perhaps the whole problem is with people's pre-conceptions of what this show was going to be about. Those who didn't care for the movies, or didn't see the movies because they don't care for SF in general, probably aren't watching because they figured it would be all action about freedom fighters running around killing robots. Those who enjoyed the movies might be disappointed because that is not what is happening on the tv show.

I've enjoyed all of this season, including since the break. I originally started watching to support Summer, but now really like almost all elements of the show and think that finally there are writers who know exactly where they are heading. However, it may end up being disappointing to have had all the character eps if we don't get a full resolution to the story because of poor ratings.

IMHO

The show kicks ass. It's just getting better. My only complaint is not enough Cameron. I made this argument on the Fox forum.

Cameron's introspection is the best part, but Sarah's is very nice. Lena is excellent as Sarah. A little deja vu for fans of "Normal Again" but no it's no slouch. The show is clean, scene by scene, line by line, by comparison even good shows look stilted and awkward.

I think there's a ways to go before the show can live up to the millenium era shows where the industry was still the main stay of talent, before a mass exodus to the net, but I'm hooked.

Someone posted here earlier "this show needs to learn that its best ep is "allison from palmdale." That is so true. If they can go reflect back on that ep and a few on that order, and lose some of the area 51 and some lame attempts at superficial relationship drama, it'll be smooth sailing.

Dollhouse, sorry, I just saw ep. 3, and it looks cancelled. It's a sexy remix of an old quantum leap ep. Maybe there's a generation watching that hasn't seen it, but that's 3/3 on "stories we've already seen" for dollhouse. This makes me sad because I like joss, and I like double sci-fi match ups, they play off each other's ratings.

Only gripe on Sarah now is not enough Cameron.

Oh, and kudos for a show that can say "Coyote is he supposed to symbolize something?" I mean seriously, hats off. I think that an ideal world, you wouldn't even say that, but today's programs just can't get through the show, or even the scene, without telling you what coyote symbolizes. But this is a nod to the audience to say, hey, you're not morons. And yeah, some people probably went and looked it up, but I really appreciate a show that assumes the very moment we see the coyote that we know what it is and what it means.

Not using Cameron to watch over someone sleeping is a story error, there should have at least been an excuse, but compared to the other stuff I've been checking out, these guys are good. Not perfect, but good. It's only television. If it keeps your attention for an hour without you thinking, "yawn, where's this going already?" or "Oh no, not another tired plot idea." The only show I've seen that's still on that doesn't have me thinking that at any point is heroes (a couple of nitpicks there too, but this is a Sarah Connor thread, I won't digress anymore.)

My thoughts exactly after seeing that episode. BUT, the previews make it seem like the main story arc will FINALLY get moving again next week. Here's to hoping!

Know what, if they kill off Riley, I'd be happy enough for another few weeks of boring episodes.

Gotta disagree with you. The show's finally hit its stride.

The first 6-7 episodes of Season 1 were...well, just plain awful. Laughable, really. No character development, ludicrous storylines, REALLY poor stunt work and some of the worst writing I've ever seen on a professionally-made tv show.

End of Season 1 into 2 they got their act together, started giving the characters some flesh, and started developing a real story arc. I look forward to the show every week.

Hell no you're not alone! The show has sucked since it came back, and YES, the Sarah "stuff" is lame and boring, and YES, where is Summer!

I really thought the show was going to be great this "half" of the season, and it may yet be, but so far it has reverted back to older themes that are a snoozefest. Matter of fact I fell asleep this Friday nite about halfway through, and even missed Dollhouse becuase of that.

The show was coming into its' own last season because Summer was being featured heavily. They had her get all dolled up to go to a fancy reception in one and she never looked better in her life. And she was having lots of dialogue which was really great.

The only thing I've liked this year was the destruction of the warehouse and killings of all the workers by Shirley Manson. It was done quite well. Here's hoping TSCC gets back on track...soon.

I don't disagree on any particular point.

For one, I can't stand Sarah. I find her simply unpleasant. Not that the mother of John needs to be 'nice' per se, it's just that Lena Heady radiates a constant negativity -- she's simply the kind of person you can't be in the room with for longer than ten minutes (or stand to watch for longer that said period). And the dweep/twerp, otherwise known as her son, well, let's just say that with him leading the bunch, resistance really is futile. Meanwhile, I just saw the HD trailer for "Terminator, Salvation," starring Christian Bale as a BELIEVABLE John Connor. "This is John Conner. If you're listening to this, you're the Resistance." Ah! Got a good feel 'bout it! :)

"Allison from Palmdale" rocked, no shit! But what does that say, really? Just that Summer Glau is star actress, IMHO. And we already knew that. What, overall, makes TSCC bad, is that they didn't continue along those lines. In fact, they continue pretty much of nothing: not even their own storylines. Might as well call it LOST then, as it's headed nowhere.

All good things must come to an end. All bad things, too.

I love how John's brain just kinda shut down for a moment as she walked past.

Really, who could blame him?

Surely not me! Unfortunately for me if I was in John/Thomas's (pun definately intended) place I doubt I could even concentrate on the line he had before she walked past, if I saw her out of the corner of my eyes.
