AIP News, Los Angeles
Last night actor Adam Baldwin, currently starring in the NBC series "Chuck," was arrested in a downtown Los Angeles motel with three prostitutes, and is now in jail pending bail. There were reports of loud noises coming from the room, which prompted the 911 call that led to his arrest at the "All Nighter Motel" on Wilshire Boulevard just south of Brentwood.
"My client was simply doing his part to stimulate the local economy," stated his attorney Vera Callahan.

Clearly, acting as Jayne in the movies and series has been a bad influence.

...Is it wrong if I'm kind of proud of him? o.0

Oh you.

I guess the lawyer's comments should have been a giveaway. Lawyers never have a sense of humour.

EDIT: Doh! And a firefly reference. Hey, it's early, kind of.

Ah, you got me - kind of. I knew something was screwy when I saw the lawyer's name was "Vera" - I just didn't realize what you were getting at. Musta forgot it was April Fool's!

Take the " ya" as generic, not specifically you. But wasn't it a couple of years ago that somebody posted an item about a gay magazine outing Adam? And there was something about Adam last year too, if I remember correctly. Enough of a trend that when I saw a header about Adam,
I
figured it immediately.

I remember when April Fool's jokes were a little classier and more imaginative than just making up defamatory stories about people. Defamatory, and potentially hurtful, to a guy with a wife and kids. Sure hope none of his family or friends visit this site.

This is the kind of thing that made me suspicious of the news about Andy Hallett initially, until I read it from a couple of reputable sources. Because there are people out there who think that starting those kinds of rumors is funny as hell...

With the title of the thread I thought it was about CHUCK not getting renewed so I got worried, then I read it was about him and hookers and I breathed a sigh of relief.

Oh, comeon, like Adam wouldn't find it funny, especially the 'sitmulus' gag.

If he asked for an apology, I'd surely give him one, but I think he'd understand the spirit of the joke.
(Maybe I should have gone with the "Adam gets knighted & gives up acting" one I considered...)

I honestly don't know what he'd find funny, but I can say that in his place, I wouldn't find it funny at all. All it takes is one or two people who don't read beyond the first post and don't realize it's a joke to start going around on other sites and saying "Hey, did you hear about Adam Baldwin and the hookers?"

Isn't the goal of a good April Fool's joke to make people believe it's true? Where's the humor in trying to make people believe something pretty despicable (considering that he has a wife and kids) about one of our favorite actors? Where's that get fun?

Sorry, Chris, but I don't think this was one of your better moments...

I thought it was to make peeps believe something...until the last line (Vera Callahan), at least that's how I do it.

Nobody reading this here is not a Firefly fan; I didn't post it at a Chuck site- peeps believing it would read further & SEE it's a joke.
I think you're over-reacting, my friend.

Okay, what's Adam's #? I'm gonna call him & see....

OH please Adam would laugh his head off. Everyone on the planet knows he's happily married and adores his wife and kids.. that's why I said Chrisisall should have picked something more believable. Adams a very relaxed guy and has shown an awesome sense of humor. I don't think he'd freak.

Well, then since nobody else seems to see anything wrong with this, I already have a cool idea for next April Fool's: "Alan Tudyk charged with DUI and vehicular manslaughter after running over three small children. Witnesses heard him shout 'I am a leaf on the wind!' before gunning his engine and taking direct aim on a group of pedestrians crossing a crowded LA street."

That'll be hysterical!!

LOL ok I can totally picture that in a cartoonish kind of way...giggle.
Alan with maniacal expression wildly driving through neighborhoods screaming " I am a leaf on the wind" out of his window....
