NVG here:

Nic can haz fursties.

Disneyland, my light brown ass. We're scenario paintballin' son. Three hundred plus people playin' the game, role playing, completing missions, and throwin' a lot of paint.

My happy place. Just need the midget on a tricycle and we're set.

I should be going paintballing soon. My sister came back with a coupon book for a paintball place yesterday or the day before. So shes got cheaper places for me and 9 peeps to go along. She can be a good sister sometimes.

I'd rather go to disney though... cause disney is in a place that is not here.

When I lived in San Diego we had season passes to SeaWorld. It was pretty sweet. We'd go all the time when they had fireworks displays and we'd go pet the sting rays or watch the sea lion and otter show. They had this one show called city streets that we went to all the time. It was pretty cool cause every time there was something different. I remember we loved watching this fat dancer who played a cop. We were always disappointed if the fat cop wasn't in the show. lol Oh and penguins the babies are so darn cute. The scary shark exhibit was one of my love to hate it things. They have the underwater part where you go through this moving walkway and look up into the water at all the sharks. I always thought "if this thing breaks I'm dead dead dead". Of course shamu was cool. Seriously what's not to like about SeaWorld? Oh oh and captain something or other's playland. They had these spinning tubes you could crawl through and they bouncy bridges to run across and big nets to climb around on. SeaWorld so wins over paintball. Disneyland beats SeaWorld too. This ain't rock, paper, scissors though. So, Disneyland double beats paintball. Which makes sense since Disneyland and SeaWorld cost more than paintball I'm pretty sure.

We're home and okay. MSA is home feeling a bit sicky. I get to climb on the roof to get the cooler ready for what suddenly turned into hot weather over the weekend. Pulled the not so lucky card. Record high weekend for the scenario AGAIN. Our general dropped out due to auto breakage (glad he was safe though), and Damian (TAWs Producer) had to scoot home on his motorcycle due to his mother having a heart attack. He recently lost his father late last year. The whole weekend had a wierd emotional charge to it. There was plenty of hard fighting and a few fun points. Ultimately our side lost. But one Fallon player won MVP for our side. My team, Easy Company, secured Most Valuable Team.
Almost thirty people from Fallon showed up for the event. That is a lot. What's better is we had 300+ players for the weekend making for the most players ever for a TAW event at Combat Zone. If they are not capable of producing another scenario event at Combat Zone in the next few months we may have attended our last event there. CalTrans (California Transportation Department) is planning on mowing the field down for a highway interchange.

I think it may have just been a lot for one weekend.

I do love Sea World Zeek... but NV had such a great time at the tournament. Plus his team was voted most valuable team out of 300+ player( 'cause he's so awesome naturally) It was a bit hot for Peanut , but still loads of fun and at least I got to be somewhat useful by being the medic and tending to the various injuries.

I'm home today as all the heat of the weekend combined with travel and coming home to discover the landlord hadn't turned on the cooler ( it was over 95 degrees in our house) made for a difficult night and a nifty migraine this morning, but I'm doing a bit better now:)

HUGS Navy oh you will do such a great job. Don't forget your headshot!!

So HIMYM season finale? What did everyone think? I was unimpressed. The goat was kinda lame. I mean the whole build up only to find out the big deal was Lily brought the goat over to Ted's place. Um...ok I sorta figured that part out already. The Robin/Barney thing just seemed like the cat's out of the bag, but not much else. And seriously how did they get out of that other building once they jumped over there? No way did they jump back. Did they like knock on the door and be all "um hi can we use your stairs?" pssh

Yeah it wasn't as funny as I was expecting, but I think they were just using it as a set up for next year.... I do like that they keep making jokes about Lily and Robin being pregnant and I think it was wise of them to shoot the finale nice and early before everyone was either in labor or popping out

The bad writing needs to stop. I think there's plenty of potential for this movie. I don't think they'll even manage to see the tip of that iceberg though.

The way I'd write it is the John Conner we know isn't the John Conner of legend. That John Conner couldn't be the same guy because he couldn't have been born of a time traveler. So, what I'd do is have the humans losing the war badly under the leadership of wrong John. Wrong John begins to realize that he was never destined to lead and the only way to win the war is to prevent the events of the original Terminator movie. The whole time he'd be trying to track down that initial time travel facility and destroy it before Arnold can be sent back. It would be like wrong John's last stand with the few fighters he has left. I could see that being a good movie and when they blow up the time travel facility or whatever there can just be a bright flash and then when it fades away everything looks different and we see some other actor leading a charge of humans against retreating machines.

I think that could be cool even though it wouldn't really make sense because the events of T1 were set off because the humans were winning. If the humans were losing then the machines wouldn't need to take out Sarah Conner. I guess you can fudge that saying that the machines know that sending that terminator back gave them the advantage and the only way to keep that advantage is to still send the terminator back otherwise the loop would be broken. Something like that.

Call it dumb, but if they've gone this far why not tie it in with other flicks with similar stories. Lets say that the machines retreat, humans follow then find other humans who have been harvested for power via The Matrix. The machines don't exactly have an indefinite power source. I'm sure there are more instances of this all over the planet securing more storyline for the Terminator world.

How about this. Humans rebuild and reclaim the half wasted planet. They establish orbitting stations and eventually explore space. Flash forward to a rehashed Nostromo and Summer Glau playing Ellen Ripley.

Or perhaps the humans defeat the machines and are able to rebuild eventually to explore outer space. I'm sure there are still habitable places on Earth. But with all the nuclear detonations it is possible that Earth can not support the peoples growing numbers...

OK terminator was pretty dumb but the action was at least somewhat entertaining. The problem is they clearly got a single idea in their head then wrapped the plot around that. They didn't even make a good point of that idea. In the mean time the movie had no real sense of urgency or importance. Plus the redhead hottie was all pregnant. I don't wanna see that.
