No idea yet what I'm doing this weekend....wasn't planning on much, but I've got like four different people in VT and MA asking if I want to hang out with them and their friends. So many social events of the season, so little time. Can we just pry a Clone Ray out of the not-so-good Dr. H. and be everywhere at once??

However we will get to go to a 4 year old's Jasmine Princess party( my niece Annie)

Awww it's just 'cause you're such enjoyable company Steamer... now remember avoid crazy mean women, sit with and talk to the hot nice ones:)

The above mentioned Princess Jasmine birthday party. Yay me...

Anyhoo, cake is always good. Hopefully the SLC guys on PBNation will message me back about shooting some paintball Sunday morning. Luckily there are mild believers like myself who choose the church of outdoors on Sunday.

nuuuuuuuuuuuuuu, I have to finish this briefing!!! reeeeeeally don't want to present tomorrow, as it's my first time briefing ever at my base and it was just kind of voluntold on me (i hate public speaking, i can never do it without shaking or mumbling, which is bad) and i need to be prepped to try and minimize embarrassment ><;; so yes, lurk time

lol, this is worse than homework :P but thank you for the lend XD

this is *wednesday* "hey, you're doing a briefing on SAMS this weekend."
"wai--what? *knows nothing about SAMS, other than what it stands for* um..what'm i supposed to do for it?"
"find some information on SAMS *duh*. i'll make you an outline of what i want."
*stands stunned as person walks away*
"well...fuck me sideways. this is gonna be great."

that being said, i was able to find some stuff, whether or not it's right is a different story, but they know the circumstances, and my dry run yesterday went well; it just comes down to the whole speaking in front of a group thing ><;; if they ask questions im screwed, cuz i dont really know anything beyond what's going on the slides

FLTex:
Mini-Me is planning a party for her friends to come over & watch videos. Rather a "pot-luck" deal. We'll supply cake & pizza, asked those attending to please bring a bag of chips or 2 liter of drink with 'em.
I'm going to decorate a Portal cake, but it'll just be the frosting on a cardboard box. The cake will be a lie. There'll be another actual cake for later, but I figure all of her friends will get the joke.

You'll be fine with the public speaking. Just do everything you can to become an expert on the subject & remember that you know more about it than anyone else there (or that person would be doing the talking). Couple'a dry runs, a touch of constructive feedback, and you'll be set. Chin up, shoulders back & BELIEVE that you can do it.

Awesome on the Portal cake XD

had no time for dry runs with the completed product ><;; just one with a draft two days ago.
I speed-talked the entire time and was shaking like a leaf (especially while using the laser pointer to point out certain pictures or whatnot), and i'm pretty sure I effed up some of my information cuz i was so apopleptic i couldn't really think straight.
But, they thought I did a good job, so I guess it wasn't a total loss (i took every effort to not reed off of the slides, cuz theres no point of giving a briefing if u do that, so i made sure i had some extra information, though i forgot one piece, and didnt realize it till after the briefing when i remembered it word for word @_@)
all in all, for my first briefing ever, it was far from a failure, though i wish i'd had the self control to slow down a little and pause without feeling like i was leaving a blank spot. *hates awkward silences*

*sigh* can u see how neurotic i am? XD LOLZ, i promise, im not like this about everything, just stuff that puts me in the spotlight.

haaaaaaaaa..off to the bar. unwindy time.

OK everyone morning ponder....

What is the one thing you have to do regularly that you'd really really rather never do again???

I'd have to say ...doing the dishes. It just feels so pointless.. sure you wash them and they're clean, but then in a few hours you'll eat something and have to wash them again...

Well, OK, theoretically you would have to get bored eventually. However, as I've never had enough time off to come anywhere near my leisure saturation level, I will agree only to the theoretical possibility. I do not accept it as proven fact.
Sorta like space aliens. Sure, it's possible that they're out there, or maybe even been here to visit (or live among us!), but so far there's no credible proof.

Challenge and fulfillment through work. Maybe not everyone believes in it. There is a point where I had to draw the line. My work is okay, but the reason for it sucks. I wonder if there is a mirrored place where I can do the same thing but in a much happier setting?

I don't think I'd ever get bored. Even if I did I can always just volunteer for a little while to get out and do something. The thing is with volunteering there's no requirement to keep going. I can stop at any time.

Really if I was uber rich I bet that I would volunteer a lot at animal shelters. That would be something I'd actually get some fulfillment from.

Hmm Zeek I like the idea of volunteering. I totally couldn't at an animal shelter though 'cause I'd end up taking all the animals home with me. Well maybe i could run an animal shelter and take in all the animals

When my mom got us our first kitty we went to a place called "the cat house" (no idea if they knew what that means or not)

It was just a house full of shelter kitties. We really kinda wanted a kitten for our first cat though and they only had adult cats. It was a crazy place though. I'm going to say probably 50+ cats just running around a house doing their own thing.
