OK how about this ponder. Should there be some break up protocol or rules? I mean there's other dating rules that are out there call 3 days after the first date, 3rd date rule, etc. Do we need some for break ups?

A friend of mine is going through a break up and both of them are just driving me nuts. They're emailing each other multiple times a day. She's going to his place tonight to "talk". This is the 3rd time they've broken up btw. They keep back sliding. Though the frequency of the break ups has picked up. There was like a month between the first and second but only a couple weeks before the third (they tried to claim they weren't back together in between those two).

I just think they need to learn to say stuff like "I care about you but we're not right together and we need to spend time apart right now". At least something along those lines.

I'm thinking maybe a rule like for 3 months after the break up you are only allowed to hang out with your ex in groups. No phone calls unless it's a short "hey I left my at your place can you bring it to ? thanks" variety. How about that?

I think there should definitely be some protocol rules for at least the younger dating population (i.e. voice only, no text breakup, no email breakup, no going through friends @_@) but in a situation like that, yeah, i think they need to spend some time apart apart.

are they happy when they're together? I mean, have their breakups been really ugly? whats the story with these two?

I think there should definitely be rules
1- do not put your friends, pets, kids, parents, etc in the middle of it by asking them to take sides, carry messages, etc
2-If you're going to break up...do it. don't drag it out over a long period of time. Cut off contact. If you want to be friends. Wait a month or so then try. if you fail at it once, stop trying
3-Do not trash your ex in public. Sure tell a few friends or someone you lean on, but don't go all facebook, myspace, ad on a blimp about it. That just makes you look like an ass
4-Do not reveal secrets, personal issues, or other private things you became aware of due to being in the couple. Have some class and don't just spew someones personal stuff everywhere because you're feeling hurt. In the long run it's just mean, hatful and says more about the kind of person you are than about them

These are the rules I would love to see enforced:)

It's like their relationship is bipolar. They say both. We're so happy. This relationship is so draining and makes me so unhappy. The break ups have been ridiculous. They act super crushed for a day or two and then boom back together and "going to really try to make it work this time". This break up has lasted since Saturday at least. That's a new record.

I think they're wrong for each other. I don't think you break up three times if you're right for each other. Every time it's been her breaking up with him. I think each time she freaks out and thinks "but it's like wasting a year of dating and what if I never find someone else!?". Then they get back together and she realizes he's not right for her and staying together is wasting the time she should be spending looking for mr. right. Which is exactly how this last one happened. They went to a wedding and she flat out told him during the ceremony she was thinking "I can't ever see myself marrying you". Ouch dude. Yet he still seems to want her back. He's convinced she's just scared and is lying to herself.

Apparently they didn't rekindle much last night. They talked and apparently snuggled *gag* and that was it. He brought up maybe getting another chance at their relationship sometime in the future and she shot it down saying "I doubt it". Finally something that went right! Hopefully the drama will end soon.

Ah .. ok well you get a medium sized carboard box. Into place a series of cards with social dilemas. Add fisher price people to act out dilemas and solutions and then add a few board games or other pen/paper games that require two players.
Level one kids work on acting out ( with teacher monitoring and assistance) solutions to the dilemas
Level 2 they practice these newly learned social skills ( taking turns, active listening, etc ) by engaging peers in games:)

Or if you're really desperate you could just pull and print a few escort ads

So, I think bowling is the culprit. They have this game where they put up obstacles in the lane and you have to try to curve the ball around them. When I was playing that I was like "ow ow ow". So, I only played a couple of games of that. At least now I know what to avoid.

I was watching whatever morning show they have on NBC the other day and one of the hosts visited a butcher in NY. I laughed my ass of watching him try to cut flank steaks. I thought his wrist was going to snap like a twig.

So what are some of the things we don't normally do that make us regret it later?
