um 3rds on that.... I'd go with racy if they were say wearing only pasties instead of tops ... but those are just waitress clothes. I don't know as I've seen bar servers wearing anything more covering than that

Ooooh, yeah, and there was the gal who was wearing a skirt and body paint, outside in brood daylight. I think I took her photo as she passed the line for the Firefly panel, but I may have been too busy with the gawking. I'll have to go check my vast photo archive.

Hey all,

haven't seen the Alice Cooper muppet show and I must rectify this at some point.

I went to a lecture on Watchmen and then a gig by Jeffrey Lewis, check him here http://www.thejeffreylewissite.com/

I had an awesome night, knackered as didn't get to bed until gone mid-night but was a great time.

I must get on with some maths but should be able to pop in later

Howdy howdy all from the cheese state!!!

Oh and I would like to point out that Toll Booth Attendents have no sense of humor!!!

We don't have any toll roads in Michigan (reason why our highway system is well not made for speeds above 45) and teh second I cross into Indiana I hit the tolls. Also the construction. THe whole way to Wisconsin!!! Stupid construction! And Tolls! I paid like $10 total to share half the highway. So of course being the kinda smartass that I am I asked teh Toll Booth Attendent if I only had to pay half since only half of the road was open.
Man! Take a Frakkin joke people!!!

So I am planning on Ella's soonly for some late lunchin'.... and hoping people at the Office from around the area have some good places to go for dinner and such.

ZOMGYouAreAnAngel.
I have a bottle of the 200mg stuff on my desk here at work. I meter it out to all my co-workers. XD I usually have to take 3-4 tablets for it to kick in... and that reminds me... gotta get some more! Mmmmm...

OH. HEY. The company used to have Ibuprofen in the little medical cases we have hanging around. Those particular pills were white, the size of an M&M, and ever so slightly coated with an ever so slightly sweet coating. So I thought they were chewable.

O.O

That wasn't a good idea. XD

I've often wondered that myself. I've been trying to read up on it, but it's still a little hazy.

From what I gather, it has something to do with risk / benefit analyses that the networks do. If the ratings suck, they only have to waste a partial season and don't have to commit to wasting advertising money (both their own and the companies that buy the ad time) on the rest of the season. They've spent mucho dinero on the first part of the season, and a smaller amount on shooting a couple episodes of the second part, but aren't committed to spending the rest. On top of that, they can cram in more standard shows and more new shows, thereby getting more bang for the buck, so to speak; they'll have a large number of potential successes and they'll have risked a smaller amount of cash due to half seasons, and the ratings will help dictate which ones they cut loose and which ones they keep. Also... if a show tanks and they've already committed to a full season, they would have had to yank it and scramble to find a replacement after spending all that money. This way, they'll still yank it but they won't have to scramble with all the other half season shows they have in the queue... both another time and cost savings overall.

I could probably explain it better than that, but my brain is skipping tracks at the mo'.

huh. guess that could make sense, but what I don't get is why they do it with shows that are doing VERY well in the ratings (like Burn Notice, which seems to be very popular, just went on hiatus again and I almost threw something through the TV at the finale). :\ mystery. have to ask an exec someday XD

Ahhrrr!

Just practising for international talk like a pirate day, which won't be as much fun as usual because it's on Saturday and I thoroughly enjoy answering the work phone as a pirate but it does mean my 30th falls on Weekend and it looks like I get to head over to Brum to see my sis and go clubbing, something I'm not particularly into but one of my best friends in the world has a regular slot play indie/dance stuff so should be fun.

Anyway, lots of work, manic week, not going to DC but not a surprise, as ever, we shall have to run a those left behind thread or something.

I haven't been able to take Ibuprofen cause of the side effects for a while, which given the ache in my back is a real pain. Gonna whinge and see if I can get a decent chair at work but we'll see how that goes down! What I need is a decent massage or accupuncture but that costs cashy money, either that or a job that doesn't weld me to my desk for two days straight, mind you, a job that doesn't follow me constantly, had three support calls this evening alone and have had interruptions during both workouts so far this week!

How we all doing, anything I can do to amuse you HK, I'd write a song but can't sing and between vocalist so unless you're into progressive metal instrumental tracks... well you see why it's a bad idea lol!

Anyway, I really ought to get on, free drinks for everyone; football is coming soon 'Who Dey?';discovered two new to me awesome music artists in Jeffrey Lewis and Florence + The Machine (man I love spotify), LIFE IS GOOD PEOPLE!

AhhhhhRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

*magics up drinks for all*

Technically you're in labor from the first "Was that a contraction?" contraction, and people walk around for days having one every hour or three.
Maybe that's how they're counting it? 57 hours of pushing would qualify as a new marathon extreme sport and probably would have killed them both. I think the real story lies somewhere between the two.

An egg is a nice idea, but you still have to lay it, and it has to be big enough to hold the finsished product an accessories, which means it would be the size of a small watermelon AND have a hard shell. I think I'd rather stick to mammal method if I had the choice...

I still say marsupial is the way to go.

LOLZ. I agree XD

lmfao, I just got an email from one of my coworkers that is absolutely hilarious (honestly, there were tears), and just to see who else she sent it to, I looked up at the address bar, and saw "Simon Tan". I almost died. If I had known that kid in tech school (it's one of her tech school buddies, unfortunately he's not at this base), I *so* would have been calling him "Tam" [/random]

barkeep, some high octane caffeine to get me through the morning.

Maybe that's how they're counting it? 57 hours of pushing would qualify as a new marathon extreme sport and probably would have killed them both. I think the real story lies somewhere between the two.

((shrug)) ........ ((indifferent to hooman suffering))
They induced Monday, probably evening-ish.
She finally delivered Wednesday evening.
Whatever the details, it's still fucking horrific. XD
