HUGS all.. the real MSA here:)

Yeah Con crud is hard to avoid ( though I've never gotten it before) but we had one of our number who was terribly sick and she kinda coughed all over everyone ( and sat in my bed on my side and coughed for hours covering my bed with germs) so I think a few of our number are feeling a bit frustrated. it would have been nice if she got up after coughing and sneezing to wash her hands and had maybe used sanitizer and had tissues instead of just sneezing and coughing on all her roomies.

But we will survive:)

Oooh Navy and Avery and Rose are sick now too??? that is sucky

HUGS thanks Kelkhil I could use a nice diet coke with lime ( sans caffeine obviously..)

If you guys still want to start a betting pool on day of baby's arrival I have an update. Baby has moved down ( which means about 4-5 more weeks though I am hoping for more as I am not due for 7 weeks)

First timers tend to run late with delivering (not always, but it would get you a lot closer to original due date), so you can tack that on.

I was due on Halloween, but was 4 days late.

Boychild, in contrast, got evicted two weeks early as the doctor was worried he was getting large. (Unfounded in hindsight)

hey now, no need for that harsh talk. Leave the nice hippie freak alone. I brought pregnant people rare candies and wore a kilt and didn't run and hide from people and cameras... I was a good hippie freak. And I've not had any complaints about the facial fuzz so far, doesn't even itch me like most say. Rice crispies get caught in there sometimes... lucky it didn't happen with the lucky charms though, would have been bad to get on film.

Aaaaand I may well end up a clean cut young lad again soon enough rosie... I'm gonna need to up my efforts to get a part time job soon and methinks employers dont like hippies.

Depends on the employer.

A well groomed beard can lend an air of maturity to an otherwise boyish facade, and so long as the hair is not falling your eyes it should not be an impediment.
(Try a trim and slick it back a bit... or go for the young Obi Wan cut! After all if you're going to be a fanboy, be a BIG GEEK about it.)

Unless you're joining a paramilitary organization, in which case all bets are off and so is the fuzz.

Folkwear Patterns (g**gle it, there's a website) has some very nice Far Eastern patterns which would be suitable for your needs. Just con a friend into making it if you don't sew. Or learn to sew and you can make an entire Jedi wardrobe and gain a valuable skill set in the process.

I am working with a Chicago based Sf-Fi convention called Cyphan to be held in the Chicago land area jone 2010. This con is aimed at the people who like to costume where as wizard world is aimed at comics. We are happy to offer the Firefly/Browncoats their own fan based booth for free at the con. There will be a fan based room for costumers to set up a booth and promote their group. Take a few minutes and check out the web page www.cyphan.com
I myself am a member of the 501st Star Wars fan group and am now looking into joining the Browncoats after just watching Firefly for the first time last month. Totaly fell in love with the show and movie. I am now looking to get more involved with this group.
Was able to attend the Firefly mixer party at Dragon Con 2009 and had a great time talking with eveyone. Hope to see you all at Cypahn..

*giggles* Navy, you're not supposed to eat a whole bunch all at once...most folk I encourage to take one sliver and then build from there...(or red, but sushi places tend to have the pink)

Korean maki-sushi (gah, I don't know what it's really called) actually has blanched watercress and bar-b-que meat strips in it.

*ponder* maybe I should just be lazy and bring stuffs to make pan sushi -- sushi rice with all teh good stuff on top (usually cooked canned tuna and maybe some ebi powder...)
