Ok I tried to find out whether this has been posted before or not BUT since there are about 100bazillion threads here I couldn`t be bothered with reading them all so I posted it again, hoping it is new.

There is a Firefly (fanmade) movie coming out in 2010.

Yes I know it is shocking how bad the crew looks like...BUT
again this is something, that shows the idead still is not dead.

What do you think?

IF this has been posted and discussed before, here, I am sorry for having posted it again.

Old news, but good news. We need to spread the word far and wide.

Good to see something in the works even though it is independent of Whedon's work.

I think what is most exciting about the project is, it has both Joss' and Universal's approval. The film will be a Charity, non-profit project, with all profits going to Charities. It's set in the 'Verse, but tells the story of a different ship and crew. Shiny!

Several people who frequent this site as both posters and fic writers (Steamer for one) have bit parts in Redemption.

Ah, but there's no 'hope' about it; the premiere IS going to be next year at D*C. At last report, Mike Dougherty (the director) had delivered all footage to the editor who is now hard at work hammering it into a finished film. (And THESE are not the hammer....)

BC:R also has its own Facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/browncoatsmove and discussion group - http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=26555743396

Go forth and aim to misbehave. And whilst you're at it, tell your friends. And have some gorram fun.

Thanks for the update, Steamer. I was at FarpointCon in Baltimore last year, and met the writer and director. My friends Mr Dave and Heather were extras in the film. I would've been except the commute from Indiana is a tad bit far.
