The last one was getting a little long and my currently-crappier-than-usual internets was struggling. So, new bar!

All Dew, all the time!

Except for those who don't want it, cause then more for me.

Enjoy.

Tomorrow marks my official return into the full-time study arena. I foresee much yelling at the scientific calculator and muttering of "but I just want to run cat5e/6 from here to there".

Still, at least it's on the same campus as the hospitality studies, so all the cooking students will be providing high-quality food at minimal prices.

Just wanted to say a quick hi,
other half has had four wisdom teeth out and allergic to anti-inflamitaries so is on opiate pain killer, consequently running around working and trying to keep the house together and feed us (mainly myself) etc...

I need a break, oh, and had an assignment due tomorrow but that went in the post yesterday.

I'm in Wales for two days next week, ah crap, must get on, need to do some washing up before bed.

Yikes on the wisdom teeth. I had all four of mine out (which I was awake for) and it was far from a picnic. Massive massive headaches for the first couple days, my sympathies to your other half :\ (TAKE THE DRUGS!!)

*magics up a break for Gee* you needs it, methinks.

Welcome!

I'm not sure what a Mr Pipps is, but the bar is amazingly well stocked.

When in doubt, guard your secrets. (Keep your ship to yourself for now..)

Not that the folk here aren't trustworthy, but you never know who could come in marauding and stumble across it.

So belly up to the bar, order whatever you like best in prodigious quantities from the automated bartender, put something on the jukebox, work out your frustrations in the breakables room, take a dip in the chocolate hot tub, have a snooze in the napping loft, whatever suits you. (Just be on the watch for stampeding llama herds. We haven't seen any in a while, but you can never be too careful. Cuidado! Hoy llamas!)

On a RL note:
I'm going on an interview tomorrow at 8am. It's not women's health care, it's family medicine. I'm not sure if I'll even want the job and they're looking for permanent placement, but an interview is a step in the right direction.. which is out the door of the place I am right now. I'm headed that way regardless of the interview results, but it might get me there faster and having a safety net is a lovely thought.

I had all my wisdom teeth out a few years ago. I took some homeopathics and threw the drugs away. Surgeon said I was the quickest recovery he'd ever seen. I didn't tell him why; they never believe it anyway.

Lessee, what can I drink? Pretty much been subsisting on tea, milk and water. As it's bedtime, I'll ask the bartender for some milk. Another busy day of designer's block tomorrow. Or 'finding the right image' block, anyway.

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

I used arnica, hypericum, and symphidum remedies. I slept a lot. My jaw ached some, but I would not have called it unbearable pain. My cheeks swelled a little, but I wouldn't have called them chipmunk cheeks (as some have described the swelling from such things) and I was able to go back to work within three days, and at the time I was answering phones for a living. My gums hurt for a bit, but no more than they generally do after a routine filling, and they healed almost completely within the week. Bear in mind this was after having them cut open and bits of bone dug out of their depths.
This is all my personal experience. (I legally have to say something like) I make no guarantees that anyone else would have the same experience. Especially since no one tends to give it a try, after hearing my experience, opting for more traditional treatment in pretty much all things. Since most traditional drugs and treatments make me feel icky, I personally tend to opt out of them. Got that habit from my mother and her vast knowledge of alternatives.

I had stitches in my top gums, but not the bottom. I had two neat holes in the lower half of my mouth that got food stuck in them for a time until the tissue all grew back, but they did cease to be raw and bleeding in 'record time' according to the surgeon on my follow-up check. (There was also never any infection, though I quietly refused to take the antibiotics they insisted I needed to take. I've never taken the things in my life, I wasn't going to do it when I was perfectly healthy. Recipe for stronger and stronger pathogens, IMO.)
...I'm so glad to have found a doctor who doesn't insist the things that work for me can't possibly be what's working and the only things that work are what make me feel icky. It's been unspeakably freeing and improved my health dramatically to have an osteopathic doctor who works with me instead of just talking at me. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Damn, I'm tired. I was just starting to get decent amounts of regular sleep when I got two difficult projects back to back. I dun even have any of the lesser assignments done

Ah... this reminds me of that time when I was in Old Paris City, back on Earth-That-Was. (That's regular Paris on Earth-That-Is)

I went into this really, fancy restaurant on the Champs Elysses, can't remember the name (although, I might still have the reciept somewhere). I had to wait in line and everything, but I only had some tea and a piece of some "to injure yourself for" chocolate pie. Or at least, I think it was pie. It might've been a tart. It's been a while.

That...that's pretty much it.

Good God. I'm glad I never got my wisdom teeth out. They were growing in straight and weren't going to crowd any other teeth thanks to my big mouth (for real, my dentist said I have a huge mouth, big surprise, huh?).

I always hear horror stories about people getting theirs out, and while they were a bitch when they were growing in, I'd rather deal with that then all that stuff you guys had to go through.

My dentist said to leave my wisdom teeth as they were unless they caused some major problems. They did grow in at funny angles and were a bit crowded, but they didn't seem to be doing any harm to the other teeth so we left them be. But I think they may have to come out. There are little pockets now where food gets stuck and it's hard to clean. I don't want them out, that means surgery, and that means numbing, and that means syringes... *shudder*

Hi all!

New temp job sucks ass. I'm only part time but they asked if I could do more hours. Not quite sure what to say.

I get to look at other peoples phone/cable/internet bills and break down the cost of them and enter them into a spreadsheet.

The commute sucks too because theres a roundabout I have to go through. I curse the soul of the person that thought of making those.

Soo yeah I'm not exactly going to put in 100% for this one...
